since everyone’s subtweeting and probably waiting for me to speak up i’ll just do it all in one:

i’m not gonna deny that i made fun of some ai fanfics since i did, with almost all of it being the person i exposed a while back for using AI (since i had proof), and then another i assume to be AI (and later just blocked). a few other ai users have either blocked me in advance, or i block them if i think they are.
i kept this to private spaces but i know it’s not exactly the nicest thing either so i won’t make excuses for it.

i see people saying i’m playing moral police and doing too much for this but yes i’m passionate because AI’s becoming too normalized. in writing, in photos, anything generative that even now rabsubs (main translators for all bl/gl) is at a risk of losing their business because companies would rather choose AI translations.

the reason i talk about it a lot is because i have a platform, even if its built off of something else.
whether it’s a small photo generated that doesn’t use anyone’s face or a some text being AI translated, it’s still bad and i don’t want it being ignored because it doesn’t seem that serious. i hope that speaking out about it (not just me) discourages people to use it too because we shouldn’t rely on AI for anything, not when it’s harming the environment and people.

as for me blocking people, aside from things i’ve mentioned i block for before, i’ve blocked people because i didn’t like a post they made before too. i’ve run into accounts from completely different fandoms who’ve blocked me before and that’s fine.
i know i’m a translating account that people might keep up with, but this is still a fan account that i use to my liking so i curate who i want to see in my tl, what i like etc.

there’s also mentions of me thinking i’m “the leader” or that my opinions worth more in this fandom, which i don’t and i can’t really control any of that.
i can’t control if people agree with my opinions when i post them, i can’t control if people like my tweets, or even if they call me a “leader”. i’m sorry if it seems like that, this one’s out of my control here.

at the end of the day i know that i’m a fan acc, and i hope it appears like that too. i might translate for 90% of it but i’m still a fan. i’ll fangirl and make random tweets, repost things i like, i’ll block people if something bothers me. i’ve never put myself on a pedestal and i don’t know if other people have or not, but for anyone i’ve upset over this i do apologize for that.

as for people who don’t know the full situation completely and started jumping in calling me names and cursing me and stuff, please try to see both sides before coming to conclusions. even then, i don’t think it’s appropriate to go wishing people bad and harm for things like this.
