Grade 7’s working hard and collaborating on their bridge design challenge. Limited to 40 straws and 1 m of tape. Needed to select 1 of 4 bridge designs, were randomly assigned a weather variable. Must withstand 125g/250g and span 35cm/25cm @GandyHappenings#GandySTEM
Testing out straw shapes to see forces in action. Students were restricted to 50cm of tape and 19 straws. Using resources (tape) wisely was definitely a challenge for the groups. Glad we learned this now before we build bridges #formandfunction@GandyHappenings@DDSB_STEM
