Larry Itliong was a Filipino American labor organizer and civil rights advocate. In 1965, he helped lead a labor strike that became known as the Delano Grape Strike. Within that movement, Itliong advocated for better wages and working conditions for farm workers.

Last Thursday, youth and community leaders showed up to urge @FresnoCOG to reject the #MeasureC spending plan proposed by politicians and their staff and work with community to develop a renewal plan that truly reflects our priorities for a 2024 measure.

The @FresnoCOG vote on #MeasureC was postponed to July 7 at 5:30 PM at Fresno City Hall, where staff will consider moving forward with a plan that fails our communities. #MeasureC can wait until 2024. Join in person or via Zoom to demand better.
