@killershot20@Barto337 Then why are you offended by a verse that is a huge pillar in your own faith? What Is offensive about the verse to you specifically? Would you be ok if players were forced to wear a certain religion on a hat for a given night? If so, Why?
@killershot20 San Francisco....Which is in America.... where they have the right to say what they please. But keep representing your city in a classy way their friend.
@_sol_omon We use our stadiums exactly as we want to. Soccer/Futbol is part of it, but we also have beautiful soccer only facilities for MLS. But American Football stadiums are built for our most popular sport. All of our sports play in palaces actually. NBA. NHL. MLB. NFL. College etc
@regina_ham@mgreenberg512 Of course not. People are terrible... But seriously. Why even put your opinion out there? Why do you feel the need to even spark the fire? It's weird to me that people feel the need to tell us about their "conflicts".
It would cost every citizen of Tampa roughly $400 total to find the Tampa part of the stadium. it's a 30 year lease. So less than $15/ year per person. People are out there acting like people are losing their livlihoods over this. #RaysUp@RaysForeverHome
@Weissy53 Point and Kuch being invisible and Hedman being out all contributed... But the seeding system is in play here. Bolts have played great teams in the last 4 first rounds. Because of Betmans dumb seeding system.
@regina_ham@mgreenberg512 I mean in fairness. YOU are the one on social media telling everyone you aren't sure you can support our National Team based on politics. That sorta makes you sound like the angry one... And I am not even close to a fan of Trump.
@mavt22_boom@RaysForeverHome In other words, at least this way the government is doing something positive that the community benefits from and uses... unlike... Well most other times.
@mavt22_boom@RaysForeverHome No, but I took 3rd grade math. No new taxes, and $15/year per current resident going to the deal. You telling me the city wont get more that $15/year back per person?
@invwh@redhart171@RaysForeverHome Maybe, but if the city stands to reap so much, I think it would be prudent to do what they need to do. Also, there are negotiations happening. I assume that topic is at least on the table.
@invwh@redhart171@RaysForeverHome I honestly think something similar may be proposed. Or at least a payment plan allowing the city to pay less upfront. That is one of the main hurdles in the one vote the team needs to flip.
@StadiumShadow We don't disagree here. If that part, or even a reasonably smaller number were in writing, would that change your position? (I appreciate the dialog btw).
@RaysForeverHome More people should be discussing how little (none actually) direct impact this will have on the average citizen of Tampa. It technically cost them nothing with no tax hike, but theoretical contribution is next to nothing. @JPPetersonshow@TBTimes_Rays
@invwh@redhart171@RaysForeverHome No. They are driving their cars a much shorter distance and many (1000's actually) will now be within walking distance. The tax revenue will come from the wealthy condos and businesses being built in the development. Right now that parking lot makes ZERO.
@dajaz027 Wait? What? How so? They have told the truth in good faith. Stu never acted in good faith and used a Hurricane to try and milk more money. He literally bailed on a signed deal. The new group poured millions of their own money into the Trop even though they had no obligation to.
@CarlLND@RaysForeverHome I was just saying that is theoretically what the $180M equals per person for 30 years. They are using existing sources though and are not raising taxes. So it technically costs ZERO dollars. And the city will profit. Win/Win
