Juneau-Douglas High School students flooded the gallery of the Finance Committee Room today, asking for an increase to the BSA. Just want to remind everyone of my offer last week at the House Minority presser.
I can’t quite put my finger on why I like Mike Ford so much. It’s partly the Princeton factor. I also admire his tenacious effort to stay in professional baseball. He’s a consummate underdog.
He’s under appreciated.

Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of attending a convention put on by the Alaska Professional Fire Fighters Association, alongside Senator Cathy Giessel. We discussed the path forward to reinstate defined benefits for first responders.
(1/4) I'm honored to be working alongside Senator Matt Claman, Mrs. Angela Harris, and the members of the Health and Social Services Committee in crafting a bill that will improve our laws around civil commitment and bringing violent offenders to competency to stand trial.
(4/4) communities will be safe from violent individuals. I am grateful for Angela Harris' tireless work in helping formulate this legislation, and for my colleagues that are working towards this bill's swift passage.
