Abhijeet, Ashu & Saurav will go down as the first Indians after 1947 to be jailed for unfurling the national flag 🇮🇳
Our youth has shown remarkable courage in the face of a govt that has only contempt for it. By doing so, the country has been awakened.
It’s Day 3 of Ashu and Saurav’s illegal arrest.
Two young men who gave up their comfortable lives to fight for change are now languishing in jail.
Imagine being jailed in your own country for waving your own national flag. 🇮🇳
Narendra Modi Has Made Waving National Flag A Crime!!!
If you have the guts announce emergency, stop hiding behind the police and this undeclared emergency!
.@AshutoshRanka and @SauravDassss have been sent to judicial custody for 5 days.
For unfurling the National Flag at Jantar Mantar.
The Government is so scared that they would jail citizens than have a dialogue with its own citizens.
You cannot jail patriotism. You cannot criminalise dissent. And you cannot call this democracy while punishing people for exercising their freedom.
"50% of Lok Sabha MPs have criminal cases against them, close to 100 MPs in the BJP. The Police can focus their energy towards them, not on Youths of India."

I had requested to let me speak to my cousin who lives with my grandmother. Asked for my phone just for a couple of minutes so I could at least take out the number of my cousin.
Why Delhi Police didn’t let me use my phone? I had also asked for a call with lawyer which was again denied.
At 3:30 in the morning, Delhi Police asks me to call my father and inform him that tomorrow I’ll be going in jail for a long time. The same father who has just lost his mother. How much more trauma did you want to put my family through after we already lost my grandmother?
What was the purpose of trying to call my parents at f-ing 3:30 in the morning? You wanted to torment them?
It’s been 12 hours. No information. No accountability.
We demand:
•Immediate release of @abhijeet_dipke , @SauravDassss & @AshutoshRanka.
•Immediate disclosure of their whereabouts.
•Immediate access to their lawyers.
You cannot make people disappear and call it democracy.
