Janine and I are praying for the families, friends, and fellow service members of the eight Air Force personnel killed in this horrific crash at Edwards Air Force Base.
We are grateful to the first responders and emergency crews who quickly responded to the scene and continue their work in the aftermath of this tragedy.

As we mark the 14th anniversary of DACA, we must remain clear-eyed about what Donald Trump is doing to systematically dismantle our immigration system.
He is slow-walking DACA renewals, threatening the legal status of Dreamers, and creating new barriers for immigrants who are following the law and contributing to our economy.
Hundreds of thousands of DACA recipients know no other home than America. Many were brought here as young children and have spent nearly their entire lives in this country. Here in Sacramento County, they are healthcare workers, educators, researchers advancing biomedical innovation, utility workers, and more.
They do not deserve to live under the constant fear of deportation. I will continue fighting to protect Dreamers and push back against these attacks on the very values that define us as a nation of immigrants.
Ranking Member @RepGregoryMeeks joined Members of the Pacific Islands Caucus for a roundtable with Chiefs of Mission from Pacific Island nations. The Members reaffirmed bipartisan support for the Pacific and discussed shared challenges and priorities, including the impact of the Iran war on energy supplies, the importance of U.S. assistance programs, and the need to have qualified, Senate-confirmed U.S. Ambassadors in regional posts, as well as legislation to combat IUU fishing and narcotics trafficking.
Great speaking with @MacFarlaneNews and @the535news about the bipartisan DOMINANCE Act passing the House this week!
Proud to lead this effort to strengthen critical mineral supply chains and support American competitiveness.
Kicking off day two with Energy Diplomacy and US leadership with Sen. @ChrisCoons, @RepBera, and @RepYoungKim moderated by the @AtlanticCouncil's Jenna Ben-Yehuda. Don't miss out!

Yesterday, the House passed three of my bills to strengthen America's national security, economic competitiveness, and global partnerships.
These bills bolster our alliances, support American workers and manufacturers, and help ensure the United States remains well-positioned to meet the challenges of an increasingly complex and dangerous world.
I’m proud to see them pass the House and look forward to continuing to work with colleagues in both parties to move them forward into law.
The House is beginning up to 40 minutes of debate on H.R. 3429 – US-Japan-ROK Trilateral Cooperation Act (Sponsored by @RepBera / Foreign Affairs Committee).
82 years ago today, American and Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy to liberate Europe from Nazi tyranny.
On D-Day, we honor the extraordinary courage of those who served—including Sacramento’s own Bill Maynard, Guerdon Walthall, and Thomas Pinon—whose bravery helped change the course of history.
We owe it to these heroes to remember their service, preserve their stories, and never take for granted the freedoms they fought to protect.

I just voted for a bipartisan discharge petition to support Ukraine's defense and impose tougher sanctions on Vladimir Putin's war machine.
More than four years after Putin launched his illegal invasion, Ukraine continues to defy the odds. The Ukrainian people have fought with extraordinary courage, resilience, and determination.
This vote is a statement of confidence in Ukraine's future. I will continue standing with the Ukrainian people as they fight for their freedom, sovereignty, and democracy.
Excellent meeting with @RepBera, a member of the #HFAC Subcommittee on South and Central Asia. Thanked Dr. Bera for his support of granting #PNTR to 🇰🇿Kazakhstan and discussed ways to expand people-to-people ties that bring our countries closer together.
Today is the 37th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre.
Last year on its anniversary, I introduced a bipartisan resolution with @RepYoungKim honoring the countless individuals who risked—and in many cases lost—their lives in the pursuit of democracy and basic human rights.
As the PRC continues its campaign of censorship, repression, and intimidation, we must ensure the truth of June 4, 1989 is never forgotten or erased. Our resolution honors the victims, condemns ongoing human rights abuses, and reaffirms America’s commitment to freedom, democracy, and human dignity.
During today’s @HouseForeign hearing, I received a commitment from Secretary Rubio that the United States' posture on the Korean Peninsula will not change.
We must remain committed to extended deterrence and maintaining peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.
I just voted for the fourth time to end President Trump’s illegal war with Iran.
This time, enough Republicans joined us to successfully pass this resolution and reassert Congress’ constitutional authority over war powers. I commend my Republican colleagues who voted to do the right thing and put the Constitution first.
The American people do not want another costly and prolonged conflict in the Middle East. They want us focused on lowering costs and addressing the many challenges we face here at home.
We must bring this war to an end.
Even by Trump Administration standards, Bill Pulte is totally unqualified to be DNI. He has no relevant experience and his sole qualification is unconditional devotion to Donald Trump. Since there will be no senate confirmation (of course), it is critical that Pulte go through a full security clearance process before he walks into the building.
