Our Fort Carson community is mourning the loss of Sgt. Benjamin N. Pennington, who gave his life in service to our nation.
I am praying for Mr. Pennington’s family, his fellow soldiers, and all those who served alongside him. Colorado will never forget his sacrifice.
250 years ago, a group of colonies won not just independence but forged a new nation grounded in universal truths. Today, we celebrate the enduring spirit of 1776 and the many gifts it gave us. Happy Birthday America—thank you for being a beacon of hope, prosperity, and freedom.
I had the opportunity to hear from the people of El Paso County (HD-16, 20, 21, and 22) about the first part of the 2025 legislative session. We reflected on the good, bad, and ugly bills from this year. Thanks to those who attended the town hall—I look forward to the work ahead.
81 years ago, the world witnessed the utmost courage, sacrifice, and tenacity as brave Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy. Their heroism not only altered history and safeguarded our freedoms—it became a lasting beacon of valor for all the world to forever remember.
I am deeply honored to have received the Child Health Champion for Heroes in Pediatric Health Policy award from @ChildrensColo It was a true privilege advocating on behalf of their incredible work this legislative session.
The domestic liberties we so greatly enjoy are made possible by the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice. Today, we remember them with gratitude and carry their legacy forward. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten or go unappreciated.
In a few years, CO went from 6 specialized infusion pharmacies to a mere 1. The impact for those relying on these services has been staggering. SB-84 takes a critical step in changing that, and I am proud to have played a role.
Today, Colorado stands alongside 19 other states committed to creating the best possible learning environment—not just for students, but for teachers too. I'm proud to have sponsored HB 25-1135 and excited about the positive impact it will bring.
As a state, we must show military personnel and their families that we value their service and sacrifices. HB-1083 is a simple, cost-effective solution to the real challenges military families face. I’m proud to sponsor this bill and pleased to see its passage on Second Readings.
HB-1321 lacks transparency and fails to serve Coloradans. It gives $4 million in taxpayer funds to @GovofCO to “defend” CO from vague federal actions. This isn’t a responsible use of public money. We deserve clear explanations—not ambiguous intentions—when funds are allocated.
When it comes to heavy and complex issues transparency should be our guiding value not deceit. An averted birth, masqueraded as a responsible fiscal decision, is merely a euphemism used to diminish the true gravity of the situation—it is, in essence, an abortion.

As someone who spent years in the classroom it pains me to see our system so overwhelmed. We should be ensuring our schools are equipped to provide students with a high quality, thoughtful education. I wholeheartedly oppose this bill and know we can do better.

SB25-003 "represents another government intrusion into the lives of law-abiding Coloradans, this legislation does NOT target criminals, it does NOT make our community safer..." @RepBradfield
The 2A is a Constitutional Right, not a suggestion. Every restriction on gun ownership erodes that right. Where does it end?
Let’s enforce laws, hold criminals accountable, and support law enforcement—not infringe on Coloradans' rights or blame law-abiding citizens
@COHouseGOP
When it comes to mental health, CO ranks 46th. SB-042 presents an opportunity to fix that by advancing and enhancing CO's crisis response system. I am proud to sponsor this legislation and thrilled to see its passage in the House Health & Human Services Committee.

HB25-1135: Communication Devices in Schools passed committee! This bill will give schools the ability to set their own policies on student device use, balancing safety, focus in the classroom, and learning. Thanks to @RepBradfield for her hard work on getting this bill passed
HB-1155 passed unanimously in the State, Civic, Military, & Veterans Affairs Committee! This bipartisan bill will ensure our elections are conducted in a transparent manner that champions integrity and establishes a consistent standard across our great state.
