how ironic that something originally organic has become a recognizable aesthetic template. anyway functionality first, stylization after is the golden rule for anything regarding creativity. for the meaningful shit anyway
like i guess it looks kind of cool but once the novelty wears off there's really not much meaningful content to look at. you look at these things for 5-10 minutes tops and that's it.
i really enjoy looking at peoples personal websites linked on their profiles. it really says a lot about their taste and interests at glance. neocities sites are a hit or miss though. most of the time it's zoomers imitating early 2000s sites in a painfully generic way
