In the 119th Congress, as Vice Chair of the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee, I worked to get Missouri’s priorities into the FY27 MILCON-VA bill. 

They included: $54.6 billion for the Toxic Exposures Fund, protections from excessive claims fees, a modernized VA, and upgrades at Fort Leonard Wood.

From the Western Wall to the communities Hamas massacred, I saw a nation that refuses to be broken.

I stood where families were hunted in their homes and where young people were slaughtered at a music festival. Iran-backed Hamas came to erase them. It failed. What I saw there will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Iran-backed Hamas hit our greatest ally in the Middle East in an unprovoked attack, the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, I walked Kibbutz Nir Oz.

What we saw was appalling. Families hunted in their homes. Bloodstains on the walls. Laundry still in the dryer. Mothers never making it back to their children.

Israel had every right to fight back. I have not forgotten it, and I never will. 🇺🇸🇮🇱

Three years ago today, Iran-backed Hamas murdered roughly 1,200 people in Israel and took around 250 hostage.

The worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. Not a border dispute. A declaration.

I walked that ground. At Kibbutz Nir Oz, families were hunted in their homes. About one in four people there was killed or kidnapped. I saw the bloodstains. I saw the burned out homes and the laundry that was pulled halfway out of the dryers as people ran for their lives.

At the Nova festival site, young people who had come to dance were slaughtered. I filmed what I saw when we went there, as friends and family were still mourning.

I have not forgotten it, and never will.

Iran funded October 7, armed it, and cheered it.

For 47 years, the regime in Tehran has called America the Great Satan and Israel the Little Satan. October 7 was the Little Satan. The nuclear program is aimed at both.

That is why the war with Iran matters, and why it has to be won.

No nuclear weapon. No enrichment left standing. No missile arsenal that can reach American bases or Tel Aviv. No more money for Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. A deal that trades sanctions relief for another promise from this regime is not a deal. It is a delay.

We also have a fight here at home. The Hamas-loving, pro-Palestinian crowd chanting “from the river to the sea” is not asking for peace.

They are asking for complete destruction of Israel and its people.

That line means no Israel from the Jordan to the Mediterranean. They spread lies, invert victim and killer, and excuse the massacre. That mindset has to be defeated too. With the truth, in plain sight, every time it shows up.

My support for Israel is not conditional. A safe Israel makes a safer America. A nuclear Iran makes both less safe.

We remember the murdered. We remember the hostages. We stand with Israel.
