I was proud to join immigrants and first-generation Washingtonians to discuss what makes DC home.
The District is stronger because of the people and communities who call it home. As your Councilmember, I’ll fight to keep DC affordable, safe, and welcoming for everyone.

Honored to earn the endorsement of DC NOW, an organization dedicated to advancing equality and opportunity for women and girls.
Together, we’ll continue fighting for civil rights, economic justice, and a DC that works for everyone.
Thank you for your support.

Honored to earn the endorsement of APWU Local 140.
Postal workers serve our communities every day, and I’m proud to stand with those fighting for fair wages, strong labor protections, and opportunity for all DC residents.
Thank you for your support.

Yesterday, I joined IUPAT, IBEW, Plumbers Local 5, and AFL-CIO members on the National Mall to stand up for DC workers.
Every worker deserves fair wages, safe working conditions, and access to paid family leave. The people who keep our city running deserve leaders who will fight for them, not just when it’s convenient, but every day.
I’m committed to being that voice on the Council.

Thanks to Engine Company 21 in Adams Morgan, the Alley Rats. Incredible getting to watch your training exercise up close today. The speed, calm, teamwork, and trust it takes to do that job is something else.
I once heard someone say: “Your time underneath this helmet is limited, but your time as a servant and a good human being is not.”
That stuck with me.
And it’s why I’m proud to be endorsed by the DC Fire Fighters Union, IAFF Local 36. Grateful for the men and women who keep showing up for DC every single day. 🚒
Today I call on DC voters to use every one of their ranked choice votes for candidates who represent DC — not the billionaire class and elected officials from other cities. @candacetiana@DaOrganizer@KevinChavous@fredhill4dc
Proud to represent the beauty and strength of the diaspora. 🇳🇬🇺🇸
As the first Nigerian American elected to federal office, I’ll never stop working to make sure every young person knows their voice, story, and culture matter.

JUST A FEW DAYS LEFT to enter our #animals4oye contest! Send us your best pet photos with Oye gear, signs, mailers! Email to [email protected].
While your’re at it, don’t forget to support Initiative 86, a DC ballot measure that would prohibit force-feeding birds and ban the sale of foie gras.
*Team Oye loves animals so please ensure they are safe and happy in all photos* @DCV4A
Proud to be endorsed by the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters.
Together, we’re fighting for stronger infrastructure, workforce investment, and more apprenticeship opportunities across DC.

Thank you to everyone who joined me to oppose a new ICE headquarters in Congress Heights. We gathered at Clark Construction in NW to urge them to walk away from this project. ICE has no place in DC and this isn’t just a neighborhood issue, it’s a citywide one. Clark Construction makes $3 billion in DC projects alone, and they need to hear us when we say: ICE OUT.
Thanks to @DCNewsNow & @YamarieOnTV for being there! https://t.co/zO6mBarh3B

@repoyedc dropped by as he said he would. I had a great conversation with him about his topics and he asked me questions that I was all too chatty about. Thank you again for stopping by to bring my merch, Oye. It's always a pleasure. ☺️😌😘
Coincidentally this is the first time I’m voting in a primary where I feel like my vote matters across the board and am excited to to enthusiastically vote for each of my candidates @Janeese4DC, @BrianforDC, @aparnafordc, @repoyedc & @tweetelissa

Had a blast at this weekend’s Anacostia Mural Experience.
Saw my main man Kokamoe (IYKYK) and was honored to join legendary Nee Nee for the unveiling of her mural
This campaign has been fueled by the energy of the local heroes and sheroes who make DC what it is.
