Our freedoms did not come free. The Sons of the American Revolution’s Liberty Tree Dedication was a reminder of the sacrifices made to secure our liberty and our responsibility to protect it for future generations.
Tennessee’s mining, oil, and gas industries create thousands of jobs and provide resources our country depends on everyday. I was glad to speak with the Tennessee Mining Association and Tennessee Oil and Gas Association in Gatlinburg about how Congress can support these important industries.
A few weeks ago, I called on @POTUS to take action on diesel prices. Last night, President Trump signed an Executive Order to put money back in the pockets of American farmers, truckers, and workers.
Dalen Products has been doing business right here in Knoxville for over 50 years. Thanks to the folks there for showing me around and giving me a look at their operation.
Nuclear energy is critical to our national security and creates well-paying American jobs. Today’s construction permit for TVA’s Clinch River project is a major step forward for East Tennessee and America’s nuclear future.
Sustainable agriculture strengthens communities. The education provided by the Empower School at Valley Dream Farm is instrumental in teaching about how this can benefit East Tennessee.
Thanks to @POTUS and the Working Families Tax Cut Act's Rural Health Transformation Program, Tennessee received over $207 million to invest in ways which will bring better healthcare closer to home.
The United States is the world’s largest exporter of diesel fuel. Yet, our domestic stockpiles are at their lowest level in 30 years. It’s time we tell these oil companies to prioritize American consumers. My new legislation will do just that.
Today I am thinking about my good friend and former Sheriff of Knox County, Tom Spangler, who sadly passed this week. Please join Kelly and I as we pray for him and his family.
I promised to introduce legislation to address affordability and rising diesel prices. To read more about the bills, click the link below:

Let’s look at the timeline…
➟ We start an investigation and ask Mayor Bass to testify.
➟ She says she’s “unavailable.”
➟ She quits a few days later from the LAHSA governing commission.
➟ DOJ arrests people in LA relating to fraud with homeless services funds.
➟ LAHSA throws in the towel and decides they no longer want to receive federal funding.
This doesn’t end here. Mayor Karen Bass must testify.
Americans deserve accountability from everyone who looked the other way while their money went to fraudsters.
Always proud to stand with @timburchett and the DOGE subcommittee.
Billions in federal cash wasted. Tens of thousands still living on the streets of Los Angeles. Nonprofits cashing fat contracts.
Mayor Bass put herself on the board, skipped the meetings, then skipped Congress.
That’s failed Democrat policy
🚨 WATCH: Chairman @RepTimBurchett exposes the homelessness crisis in LA and Mayor Bass’s failure to appear before Congress.
“Mayor Bass seems intent on evading accountability. But she knows we will not let her off the hook.”
Americans deserve the truth.
Mayor Karen Bass stepped down from the LAHSA board right after we launched an investigation into its use of federal funds.
She’s also “unavailable” to testify tomorrow.
The hearing moves forward as @RepTimBurchett examines fraud and failures in homelessness services.
Today’s 9/11 Stair Climb Memorial was a reminder of the lives we lost and the courage of the first responders who ran toward danger. We will never forget.
25 years ago, our nation was under attack. Thousands of innocent men, women, and children were killed at the hands of terrorism.
Countless lives were also saved by brave first responders and ordinary Americans who were helping their neighbors. Today, we remember their courage and sacrifice.
Please join me in praying for the families of those who lost their lives.
East Tennessee grows a little bit of everything. I enjoyed visiting Rainbow Roots Floral in Maryville to learn about the cut flower business and hear from local growers about the issues they’re facing.
