@jpodhoretz This assumes Bass is doing the rigging, not the Democrat party — it seems to me the Democrats would rather have either D candidate over the possibility of a Pratt upset.
Fmr CIA officer here.
Let me share how elections get stolen — and the role of intel agencies.
We all know that the CIA and NSA create and execute clandestine operations that are designed to go undetected. That ranges from recruiting human spies, tapping phone systems, and altering devices of all kinds.
Yes, that necessarily includes voting machines.
The CIA and NSA have teams to execute all of these operations and missions at the direction of a President, even those ops that are deemed impossible… like machines locked in rooms that are inside secure facilities, unhooked from the internet or whatever device that could tether them to the outside world.
Those tough intel operations require extensive planning, exquisite trade craft, supporting operations (HUMINT, SIGINT, MASINT), and a degree of luck.
For many years, everything that I’m saying was understood by both Democrats and Republicans on Capitol Hill.
Historic footage from Congressional hearings show both Ds and Rs saying that they were alarmed about voting systems with so-called “unhackable machines.” They knew then — correctly — that such a suggestion or claim was ridiculous. They were briefed by NSA and CIA teams on how they “hack the unhackable” every month without leaving a trace.
This is why Taiwan and others are resolute on conducting elections the old fashioned way: same day voting only, in person, IDs, paper ballots, a counting process that is open to the public to watch and monitor, and results announced that same night.
If Taiwan can do it with ~24M people, any US state can do it. Refusal to do so is an intentional choice to open your electoral systems to vulnerabilities.
That's what we’re now seeing across the United States, and primarily in Democrat-dominated locales. Including Los Angeles. Those politicians choose broken systems.
California’s ~30 day process to tally votes is obviously and intentionally vulnerable that a reasonable person understands that it allows for manipulation and assured electoral outcome by a dominant power (Democrats, in this case).
And like any good intel op, you do it such that there are no fingerprints left behind — whether that be with machines, mail-in ballots, harvested ballots, etc. If you own the ops environment, anything is possible.
Still, mistakes happen in any op. In the event of disclosure, you do what we often see Democrats and the media do: deny, smear, and make counter-accusations to preserve intentionally broken systems.
Folks, this is not about Spencer Pratt. This is about the future of what’s left of our Republic.
Evil, seditious forces have broken our electoral systems and gained great power using them. Mayor Bass is but one, using the machine that her Democrat Party has built to sustain her and Leftist power. It’s the modern, Golden State version of old Chicago, NJ, or Huey Long corruption.
They will deny it, obviously. Because admission means loss of power, money, and likely prison time. There’s no incentive for them to clean up what’s broken.
Bottom line: Mr. Pratt’s earnest desire to run a righteous race to fix his city faces long odds. He didn’t just run against Karen Bass. He ran against a corrupt machine.
But if nothing else, he has shown his fellow Angelinos and the nation that, once again, we have an existential problem in our electoral system with intentional vulnerabilities and electoral fraud that naturally flows from the brokenness.
Now it’s up to the rest of us to fix it.
There are solutions, none easy or polite. But we must do so — and by whatever means necessary — or the Republic falls to Communists and Cuba-trained agitators like Karen Bass.
Those are the stakes. Time is short.

F-37, a member of the leadership chat for the Charlottesville rally in 2017, made racist posts under an SPLC employee's supervision and arranged transport for others to attend the rally. SPLC paid this person $300K.

@Cernovich And, it’s hard to get public support for data centers when you’re telling the public they’re gonna lose their jobs because of AI.
(I say this as a pro AI person.)
Trump insults people. Call it unbecoming or unpresidential, but comparing it to what the left has been systematically doing with its rhetoric over the past decade is absolutely ridiculous.
The left has a system. They demonize and dehumanize a person (usually by repeatedly calling someone a nazi, fascist or racist) and then set out to convince people that the person is a direct threat to their lives.
Every Democrat talking point is geared around painting someone as a threat. Then they preach about the need to resist that evil threat.
That's been the entire Democrat platform for a decade now. That's how they attempt to stay in power. Through fear, not popular policies. They do not care about what happens when someone takes the rhetoric seriously. In fact, they use whatever violence results by claiming it was caused by the person who was attacked.
Joe Biden declared his candidacy for President in 2019 by claiming that he had to run because Trump wouldn't condemn nazis. It was a complete lie but the MSM played right along. Biden then hit the campaign trail and declared repeatedly that Trump was an existential threat to the world. An existential threat. Sounds pretty serious right? Biden said that America could never survive another four years of Trump, that democracy would collapse because Trump was so evil. That was his entire campaign for President and the MSM backed him up.
Gavin Newsom's campaign for President is pretty much the same as Biden's was in 2020. Trump is evil and wants to hurt you so vote for me.
By nature, the rhetoric of the left incites violence because every word is geared towards making people believe that someone is a threat to their lives. Eventually, some people will take that rhetoric seriously.
"But Trump causes it all."
Really? Consider Elon Musk.
The left did not like what Elon was doing early last year so what did they do? They called him a nazi and a fascist. They said that he was pure evil. Then daily for months Democrat politicians claimed that Musk was out to hurt people and their families. They told people that Elon was trying to directly hurt them. They accused him of stealing Medicare money and pensions so that he could enrich himself. Think about how ridiculous that was. Still, they repeated it over and over again and they had the help of the MSM. They accused Elon of stealing grandma's money so he could add to his bank account. They accused him of killing people all around the world. Everyday on CNN there was a new BS claim about another 10,000 people somewhere that starved because of Elon.
Reminds me of the ubiquitous Covid death counter that magically disappeared when Biden became President.
The MSM repeated the Democrat talking point. "Elon is killing people and he's trying to hurt you."
Then the protests started. The paid agitators hit the streets and did what they do. People were marching in the streets, calling for Elon's death. I've posted clips of everything I'm writing right now. It's all true. Do people forget the guillotine shirts and posters at the Elon protests?
Eventually, some people became so fearful and INSANE that they couldn't even look at a Tesla without trying to destroy it. Same as the reaction the crazies used to have to the red hats. Then the crazies turned on the Tesla owners. They started following them and attacking them. It became a risk to drive a Tesla in a major city. People were wiping feces on Teslas. Think about how insane one has to be to do that. Then people started firebombing Tesla dealerships. They were bombing dealerships. The entire time Democrat politicians and the MSM just kept repeating the lines that Elon is a nazi and he's out to hurt people.
Elon was only heavily involved in politics for a few months but if he had continued, somebody would have tried to take his life. Guaranteed.
The MSM downplayed the violence. MSNBC and CNN kept repeating the lie that the protests were peaceful. People started claiming that it wasn't just the left, it was both sides. Both sides were doing it. Sound familiar?
Then a bunch of Democrat mouthpieces and politicians brought up...you'll never guess...January 6th. "This is no where close to as bad as the insurrection!" I've posted the clips.
The late night shows cheered on the violence. Jimmy Kimmel made jokes about it and passively encouraged people to keep attacking Tesla dealerships.
The left has a system. They paint people as threats and encourage people to fight those threats. That's the Democratic platform and it's been that way for a decade. It's what Biden ran on and what Newsom is running on. Do not compare it to insulting or ridiculing someone. There is no comparison.
There seems to be some confusion between insults/ridicule and incitement of violence. Here's a little rhetorical quiz for those who are confused. Perhaps it will help.
Trump posts that Rob Reiner was crazy and had TDS after Reiner's death. Who did that incite violence towards?
Gavin Newsom claims that Trump is disappearing American citizens never to be seen again and that Black and Brown people are specifically being targeted and should be afraid. Newsom repeatedly claims that America will not have an election in 2028 and that Trump will use the National Guard to arrest people who try to vote. Who might that incite violence towards?
Trump posts a warning to Iran that an entire civilization may die. Which person did that incite violence towards?
Ted Lieu, without evidence, claims that Trump is guilty of raping and killing children. The entire Democrat party spends a year claiming without evidence that Trump is a pedophile. Who does that incite violence towards?
Trump posts a meme of Adam Schiff with a long neck and calls him a watermelon head. Does that incite violence towards someone?
Adam Schiff spends three years falsely accusing the President of being a traitor and working for Russia. He claims that the President is illegitimate and should not be in office. Does that incite violence towards anyone? What happens if someone believes Schiff's lies?
Tim Walz claims that Trump is disappearing people, having American citizens grabbed and sent to torture dungeons, never to be seen again. He warns people that anybody could be next and urges people to fight. Who does that incite violence towards?
Trump posts a meme with a clip of Obama as a gorilla. Who does that incite violence towards? Were people angry at Obama for being portrayed as a gorilla or were they angry at Trump for posting it?
Biden spends five years calling Trump an existential threat to the world and says that democracy can never survive if Trump gets back in office. He gives multiple prime time speeches as President calling Trump and his supporters a threat to democracy. Does that incite violence towards someone or some group?
Trump calls someone garbage. Biden says that Trump supporters are garbage almost immediately after an attempt on Trump's life. Do either of those incite violence?
Chris Murphy says that we are at war (with MAGA and the right) and that people need to do whatever it takes to win the war. Who might that incite violence towards?
Trump posts that he's glad that Robert Mueller died. Who does that incite violence towards? Do people want to kill Mueller's dead body after reading that?
James Comey posts "8647." Might that incite violence towards someone?
Trump posts a meme of Hakeem Jeffries in a sombrero. Who does that incite violence towards? Do the people who are angry about that meme want to hurt Jeffries?
Hakeem Jeffries repeatedly says that the biggest threat America faces is MAGA Republicans. Who does that incite violence towards?
Trump says "there are very fine people on both sides, but I'm not talking about the neo-nazis and white supremacists, they should be condemned totally." Who does that incite violence towards?
The entire Democrat party and virtually the entire MSM spend years claiming that Trump said that nazis and white supremacists are very fine people. Who does that incite violence towards?
Trump ridicules Rosie O'Donnell. Did that incite violence towards O'Donnell?
A journalist reads on national TV from a manifesto of a deranged would be assassin who wrote that he was angry with pedophiles and then asks the same President who was the target of said assassin if the manifesto was about him? Who would that, if anyone, incite violence towards?
Trump tells the journalist who just read the manifesto accusing him of being a pedophile that she should be ashamed of herself. Who does that incite violence towards?
AOC says that the country has become nazi Germany, compares Trump to Hitler, and claims that Trump is putting people in concentration camps. Who would that incite violence towards?
I could go on and on. Maybe these questions will clear things up a bit for those who do not understand the difference between insults and incitement of violence.
The way my liberal friends talk about Trump, I’d hate him too. Trouble is, they’re talking about a fictional person.
The person they think he is has nothing to do with the president I experience him to be.
