Another Millennial cartoonist fails the "Write about something other than your own mental hang-ups" challenge. Given what Gen X has aged into, it's rather unfortunate to concede that Boomers were the last generation of great writers.
@SandyofCthulhu The Biodocs agreed to sell their company and hand over all their intellectual property to EA in exchange for enough money to finish The Old Republic. They knew the terms of the agreement going into it, and made out quite well from it. Both comfortably retired back in 2012.
@EmperorKarino Bioware employees at the time said that all of the changes in the sequels came from Bioware's management itself. They weren't being micromanaged back then, that came a bit later.
@SandyofCthulhu Mass Effect wasn't really stolen. Bioware stated from the start that they only wanted to make a trilogy. Corporations don't believe in letting intellectual properties retire in dignity, so they handed it over to one of Bioware's already-existing support studios.
Thought I could avoid the panhandler toll completely by going back to my early shopping hours, but nope, an older woman was out bright and early asking for bus fare.
A speeding motorcycle woke me up in the middle of the night, so for a few seconds, I got to experience some very vivid hypnopompic imagery of text scrolling horizontally very quickly with random images popping in and out. It's been a while.
The spider didn't die, it's somehow resistant to water pressure. It climbed out of the drain again, and this time I tried chasing it out of the basin until it fell on the cardstock. It jumped off the card before I was able to take it outside. At least it's out of the sink.
Turned on the faucet in my sink for a bit, and a well-sized spider popped up out of the drain. It was struggling to climb out of the basin, so I tried to get it to walk on some cardstock, wouldn't do it. Ended up falling back into the drain, choosing death over my help.
"I'm going to talk to the media about the illegal business I'm conducting and even pose for a photo," is yet another example that smart people can be quite foolish.
Switched back to my previous grocery shopping time. I dislike waking up earlier and navigating the morning rush, but avoiding the late-spring/summer heat and navigating a nearly-empty store makes up for it.
Several neighbors are lounging about outside on this miserably humid Memorial Day. I had a lawn to mow, I don't understand their motivation. Not going back out there again.
