The comeuppance is beginning.
Rene Gonzalez is an attorney. Many do not hold lawyers accountable, but Rene has been so inappropriate (and non law abiding) I went ahead and submitted a bar complaint.
It’s been accepted to a disciplinary council for investigation.
I didn’t tweet much in the lead up to the vote because I didn’t want Rene to be able to use this account, or any other excuse, to justify his loss. He lost because, as dumb as this city can be sometimes, we don’t vote for hateful ghouls.
You failed Rene. Good riddance.
There is an underhanded campaign being waged to prevent my most ardent supporters from voting for me, simply because they live in eastern Oregon. Technicalities should not prevent my base from voting in elections that they are inexplicably deeply invested in.
My security guards had to escort me out of the recent NAACP event early, after they allowed a radical, Black troublemaker to speak. It offended my sensibilities and loosened my bowels. Mr. Pearson ruined my day and I’m still really upset.
Ask yourselves why the city is wasting taxpayer money on trying to enforce its petty little laws against me, when I am completely insulated from the consequences of my crimes by my moneyed connections. We should spend these resources on jailing and harassing the poor instead.

Just a little inside baseball for the politics junkies out there:
I’m pivoting my messaging to be a little more compassionate towards homeless people. My base already knows I’m going to abuse and brutalize them, but going into the general I need to appeal to non-monsters, too.
This weekend, a successful mission by @PortlandPolice and partners targeting open drug use in the areas of SE 122nd Avenue and Burnside Street and SE 148th Avenue and Burnside Street resulted in:
• 33 arrests
• 6 citations
• 22 vehicles stopped
• 1 stolen vehicle recovered
• 1 firearm seized
• 152 fentanyl pill seized
• 199.5 grams of fentanyl powder seized
• 30 grams of methamphetamine seized
• 1.5 grams of heroin seized
• 257 grams of cocaine seized
Very alarmed to hear (from a reliable source) that people are eating other people’s pets in immigrant communities. As mayor I will put a stop to this disgusting practice.
Portlanders have no moral obligation to indulge someone’s self-destruction.
If someone, say, makes humiliating public errors like paying to have their wiki edited or braying like an ass when their shoulder gets brushed gently—no one has a moral obligation to vote for them.
This witch hunt is so frustrating. Learning to edit Wikipedia pages is professional development, and my staffers are more well-rounded employees for having learned it. $6,400 is a small price to pay for the gift of knowledge!
I was thrilled to open this affordable housing center for seniors. Unfortunately, after learning that some of the residents were on opioids, I was forced to burn the building to the ground so they’d have to live on the streets where they belong. I kept the scissors.
San Francisco's recent decision to expand its homeless bussing program, coupled with Governor Newsom's order to clear unsanctioned camps should put all Oregonians on notice: if we don’t keep housing prices artificially high then we might accidentally house some of these people.
