Yesterday 600+ client who paid 40+ Lakh didn’t get a unit in Oberoi Three Sixty North. But do you know behind each of those was a Channel Partner / Broker / Agent who worked for months and went home with nothing.
More than four months of work. Hundreds of conversations on phone, in person meetings, running from one client meeting to another.
And then when you get lucky, you end up collecting EOIs cheques that sometimes stay just that. Paper.
We could still manage allocations for 25% of our clients, 25% allotments out of all the EOIs collected over months of effort. Decided by clients who were lucky to have time that day by their side and could apply for it in time within those 2-3 mins. Some could, Some couldn’t.

He said "Itne hogaye woh bhi kaafi hai, ab kal se agle pe lagenge." I guess to live with content comes from experience.
Real estate from outside looks glamorous. The launches, the big numbers, the oversubscription stories. But you never hear about efforts of months that evaporate quietly behind them. Broking is hard, you only get paid for success, not for the effort.
