Huhu! If you have time during this lockdown, my dissertation project is growing, and could do with some feedback. Topic is health activism and health-related decision-making in thyroid disease. https://t.co/6v8w6QP1ru

Social media is a game changer for people who want to learn about and connect with others with their health conditions, but we urge caution, don't believe everything people on social media may say. #FactCheck using the reliable info sources listed on our website.
Good news for patients who rely on liothyronine, T3: 5mcg & 10mcg tablets are now licensed for use in the NHS. https://t.co/xBTDSOogss - we trust this is at a sensible price and will improve access as well as reduce wastage in our NHS as these are more commonly prescribed doses
@whorrrrru01 or follow the site in my profile for information on me and my project and how to contact you. in general, the media often paints a different picture than living here.
I am in #HongKong now, writing my dissertation. I am surrounded by #activism while writing about activism. It is quite a strange feeling. :) Also makes me wonder a lot about ways to achieve something and making a cause heard #mode and #message#communication
@whorrrrru01 hi! this is a lot for a tweet. :) if you want you feel a lot, if you don't want, not anything. it depends on how politics affect you. there is no violence in university and they are taking good care of you. you can send me an email if you want - pm me for it
#Thyroid disease and #mentalhealth - an important perspective. On one hand we do not want to have cover-up diagnoses and over-focus on mental health when we need thyroid care. On the other it is a problem that that relationship is often neglected and treated separately.
“The biggest impact is living a much quieter life, more isolating than before. I’m in constant battle with myself. There is so much I want to do but when I do too much it takes me a long time to recover again." https://t.co/AHxRwFAR9S #hypothyroidism#thyroid#mentalhealth
We would like to thank everyone who responded to our survey last week.
We have received an overwhelming volume of responses and we are now analysing the results in preparation for their inclusion in our formal response to the NICE Draft Guideline! 🙏🏼❤️🦋
21 trials, a total of 2000 patients, the largest trial with 700 patients average age 74.4. More research needed into hypothyroidism. These guidelines look troublesome if the exceptions are not noted. Younger people with symptoms etc. https://t.co/s2h87KrcwI #medlearn#NHSEngland
I am starting to really like my PhD project. These things are always ups and downs, but I am feeling it sort of makes sense on a few levels. If it could just go a bit faster.. but I guess that's the nature of research and its accuracy :)) #phd#health#communication#activism
This is an interesting subject. Placebo, noncebo and the power of belief in healing https://t.co/XgTv4V8DGq by @chriskresser who is well-known for subjects like functional medicine and he also does some stuff on #thyroid
