Afghan Community in the DMV area have planned a vigil in DC, and we request everyone in the area to attend the event and pay their respects. We strongly reject violence of any kind and show our strongest solidarity with the families of victims. One evil-minded individual does not represent the Afghan-American community who love and contribute positively to this nation.
I stand in solidarity as victim of terrorism and Extremism & firmly condemn last night’s incident in Washington, DC. My thoughts are with the injured young soldiers, and I wish them a swift recovery🙏.
Despite ongoing challenges, Afghans immigrants contribute resilience, expertise, and valuable human capacity to the United States. Together, we can help build a safer and stronger future.
Crime is an individual act.
Any act of violence that harms innocent human life is terrorism and must be condemned without hesitation.
Praying for the full recovery of the two National Guard soldiers and strength for their families.
I also hope that one foolish man's actions will not result in the punishment or blame of the entire Afghan community.
