hahaha. lmao, even. quite literally the definition of "cut your nose to spite your face"
do u know what happens to franchise values if theres even a 1% chance of any future sale being handled this way
29 Owners should tell Mark Walter they won’t approve any sale of Organization for more than $1
Force to relinquish control to MLB or face devastating punishment
Eventually write Walter a check for far less than Dodgers value, say $1B
Then sell the team and split the proceeds
slop. pure slop. flaherty was a league avg pitcher in his regular season stint with LA and then went on to pitch to a .904 OPS-against and -0.6 WPA in the postseason. jomboy ceased being reliable years ago but this is hilariously bad
The last time the Yankees walked away from a deal due to medicals they didn’t love was Jack Flaherty in 2024. He went to the dodgers instead and won a World Series.
isnt this the guy who refuses to denounce the crosseyed congressman candidate who beat up his daughter and grandaughter... maybe sit this one out big fella
us soccer will never ever ever be competitive with people like this being in positions of influence
the below is diametrically opposed to any desire for the best athletes in america to choose soccer over literally anything else, sport or otherwise
You want to tell men/women in America who make their living in youth soccer that they need to make less?! It's a business. I want them to make as much money for their service as the market will pay them. If they can make a "ton of money" then they should...and I'll celebrate it.
"I don't think Volpe wanted to play other positions when given that choice" - Joel Sherman (via Pinstripe Post)
"The Yankees said maybe you should play some 2B, Volpe told the Yankees 'no I'm a shortstop'" - Michael Kay (ESPN Radio)
🤔
He's been the Yankees 2nd most valuable position player since his debut. We can talk about his lack of production offensively without being disingenuous about his career
After losing my dad to stomach cancer I’m trying to take steps to prevent it. I recently attempted a 72 hour fast to get my body into autophagy. My last meal was Sunday noon. Monday was an ok day. I drank coffee and water and had tea Monday night.
Tuesday was tough. I started adding salt to my coffee. I didn’t feel terrible but was lethargic and unproductive. When I took burgers out to the plant food crew for lunch I was salivating at the smell in my truck! But I persevered.
I chose to end the fast last night at 630. So I made it 54 hours. Grok suggested breaking the fast slowly. I chose 2 ny strips totaling 1.7 ponds. They were glorious! I did not lose any weight. I suppose this is from all of the liquid and added salt. I believe I could make 72 hours or even longer. With spring work ramping up and calving in full swing my activity level was a lot to try and accomplish on an empty stomach.
I feel great today. Has anyone else tried this and what were your results?
JD Vance:
* Converts to Catholicism, publicly rebuked by two consecutive popes
* Nearly loses the Ohio Senate seat in the Biden midterm
* Iran negotiations that somehow resulted in a blockade of a blockade
* Endorses Orban, thus ending his 16-year rule
the irony of "lets be critical thinkers" and writing a tweet like this, lmao to the absolute fullest extent of the abbreviation. im sure bruce is ~devastated~ to lose you
11 games into the season btw

“Hard not to feel scammed.”
By now, the word is out - World Cup tickets are eye-wateringly expensive. But some buyers have noticed an extra sting.
Despite purchasing Category 1 tickets, a redrawing of multiple stadium seating maps has led to confusion and frustration that they didn't get what they paid for.

Mark DeRosa’s brain was on another planet throughout the entire 2026 WBC.
There’s no “had we taken the lead.” Team USA was the home team. If you “had taken the lead” in the 9th inning, the game would be over.
There’s no situation where Miller could have pitched with the lead.
