A fire alarm test is being carried out by @ballymore at peak time when residents are attempting to go to work. An 18 storey block without the use of lifts for around an hour, without any comms to residents is unacceptable behaviour & just outright disgraceful!
@ClarionSupport
Residents have had to walk up & down the stairs, without any prior notice of needing to do so or planning. Had their grocery deliveries returned as test is expected to last 45 minutes or so. Why were residents not informed?! Especially when it was due to take place at 8:30am!
@ClarionSupport@Clarion_Group@ballymore@TowerHamletsNow Hot water was not restored for all residents, and the final few residents had it resolved this morning.
As highlighted in the initial tweet, there's a lack of communication from Clarion. There is much to learn from this; most importantly, Clarion needs to better communicate!
It's now been more than 24 hours that the entire Harmony Building (100+ residents) is without hot water and heating. No one wishes to take ownership to resolve the problem and keep blaming another party.
@Clarion_Group@ClarionSupport@ballymore@TowerHamletsNow
No comms issued by any party involved. Residents have been forced to chase constantly to obtain updates, which seems to send one on a wild goose chase. Worst of all, there have been no arrangements made in this winter weather to keep residents warm at all.
This is the state of the Harmony Building Residents "bike shed". @ballymore bring all the rubbish items that are dumped from the private buildings and place here because its #socialhousing, as a result making our bikes inaccessible.
@Clarion_Group@TowerHamletsNow
Many residents rely on their bikes as their mode of transport to and from work, but have to spend time constantly arguing with @ballymore staff to create the space to be able to access their bike. If bikes are placed on balconies, then notices of breach are issued.
Why does the social housing regulator do so little? Surely there are other models that could deliver better standards beyond the mediocrity currently on offer
Housing association mergers. So much of my casework is dealing with housing associations, many of whom were set up as small charities helping people in need. Now we see these huge groups in countless mergers where residents become customers & staff are encouraged to say no
