Is it wrong that I feel bad for the robot? The robot doesn’t care, it doesn’t feel a thing. The humans seem to be having fun and are probably making the robot better by doing this. If someone smashed an autonomous car I wouldn’t feel a thing, but give it arms, legs, torso and a head and watch it struggle to stand and I feel bad for it. Perhaps my empathy needs some fine tuning.
