On August 10, I’m participating in the 2025 City2Surf fun run to raise funds for Chris O’Brien Lifehouse (& to have a bit of fun too!).

I have been a doctor at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for more than 25 years. I was fortunate enough to know Chris when I was a junior doctor at RPAH in the late 1990’s. We worked together for many years helping patients and performed important research together that has impacted the field. I considered him a friend, a mentor and a brilliant surgeon. I can’t thank Chris and others enough for their support and dedication to cancers and the care for patients.

The Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Sydney is an amazing institution treating and supporting people through their cancer journey and it is wonderful to see the legacy of Chris and his wife Gail‘s dedication to improving cancer care. I have also received wonderful care by the incredible committed team at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, amongst others.
