Or how they spot where the opportunity will be before it happens?

Here's a complete step-by-step guide on what is probably known as the best tool in this industry 👇

1⃣ Defillama is probably the best tool in the entire industry and this is no exaggeration.

The amount of alpha and insights it provides is insane and it's used daily by any well-informed investor with experience.

I'm here to teach you how to browse this handy tool yourself.

(It's also one of the few tools that is completely free to use on all levels. There's a reason for their popularity)

2⃣ Chain growth

There are plenty of features to use but not all are necessary.

Finding your next set of gems all starts with selecting your ecosystem of choice first.

Which chain is hot and trending to see where the most opportunities are.

- Defi dashboard > Chains

The most important metric you need to look for here is the 7d change and the 30d change.

For this particular month, we see notable changes in the $ADA and $SOL ecosystems.

This doesn't necessarily mean they are currently the hottest chain to look for opportunities on.

It just means if this trend continues and you continue to see a positive trend for many weeks or months in a row you are likely pretty early to the party.

Earlier than others and that's what you are going for.

The highest TVL however is currently still on top leaders like $ETH and $ARB.

More TVL usually highlights a more lively chain with more liquidity, protocols, and thus opportunity (mostly).

So basically for now:

Eyes open for a positive trend on #Solana and #Cardano but currently still sticking to the likes of Ethereum or Arbitrum the most.

3⃣ Finding the gems

Simply click on #Arbitrum to see the full list of projects deployed here.

Just like before you want to see a positive growth in TVL numbers to see a rise in popularity and activity.

Tip: Go for the ones only deployed on one chain.

Many of the leading dApps are using different chains and will automatically have a higher TVL than those deployed on one.

You want to look for Arbitrum native dApps to find potential gems.

Tip: compare the TVL with mcap.

Projects with a high TVL but still low market cap are often more undervalued than the other way around.

Millions of TVL don't mean a lot as a metric for potential when the project has a billion-dollar market cap (as an example).

$VKA (Vaultka) is a project that has enjoyed some remarkable growth this week.

A TVL of over 10 million with a market cap of only +- 1 million earlier this week there were strong early signs.

Prior to this, there was a significant positive TVL increase change highlighting an upcoming price boom.

4⃣ Conclusion

Nothing is 100% perfect and guaranteed but Defillama honestly does a pretty good job of providing data and stats on future potential gainers.

If you see changes like this and you further combine this by looking into the project and their Twitter page with stuff like upcoming announcements?

You'll have a strong strategy in your hand.
