3 CRUCIAL things academics got WRONG about narcissists, psychopaths (dark personalities)….

FICTION 1.
- The academics say psychopaths are grandiose, which means they make themselves appear more important, impressive, or sophisticated than they really are.
REALITY
- Psychopaths which are not as bright and have impulse control problems pretend to be more accomplished than they are but, of course, many psychopaths are religious leaders, teachers, CEOs, judges, pilots etc and so do not need to be grandiose because they are seen to have a successful life.

FICTION 2.
- Academics insist psychopaths are impulsive. World psychopath expert, Dr. Robert Hare includes impulsiveness as a core attribute of psychopaths in his assessment tool, the PCL-R.
REALITY
- Of course, higher functioning dark personalities are not impulsive at all. Many are quite strategic and are excellent at long-term planning

FICTION 3.
- The academics insists that a subset of dark personalities have “everyday sadism”. They say that psychopaths, narcissists & Machiavellians are not sadistic.
- My research, based on over 1000 years of cumulative experience of practitioner experts, both inside and outside the prison system, with dark personalities and their victims, indicates ALL narcissists, psychopaths and Machiavellians are sadistic. They enjoy demeaning, disadvantaging, humiliating, destroying, hurting, and misleading others.

El Nino update. Godzilla is coming.

Most of the world will see top quartile temperatures over Jul/Aug/Sep, which is peak vegetative growth season globally for grains, half the world oilseeds and also for sugar and rice in Asia. That means more evapotranspiration and stress on crops.

India and South-East Asia will also likely see their weakeast monsoon rains in decades.

I really don't think enough people fully comprehend the worlds that are about to collide here.

You already have people in geopolitical circles warning about the threat of famine based on surging prices / availability of fertilizer components, and you also have long-term weather modeling all converging on a worst case scenario for a building El Nino event, which will peak near the end of the year. These are two slow moving but entirely predictable disasters that when coupled together will each make the other orders of magnitude worse. (This will take months to fully unfold, but at this point, the die is cast.)

There's no event in our history books that combines the current global population with the impending fertilizer shortage and the strength of the El Nino that's coming. We are about to witness an unprecedented event that will push crops around the globe to their limit.

This is Dr Robert Hare, world expert on psychopaths.
He developed the Psychopathy Checklist in the 1980s and the PCL-R, a tool to diagnose psychopaths. The PCL –R is now the most commonly used tool in the world to assess psychopaths.
The tool though does not contain the attributes of “control” or “sadism”. This to me is unbelievable because these are the two biggest drivers of dark personalities or human predators!!
The PCL – R focuses on impulsive, violent criminal offenders yet Hare’s been trying for decades to have it applied in workplaces and family violence too. This is useless because it’s not nuanced enough. Retrofitting a tool developed from violent criminal offender prison populations onto higher functioning human predators that are CEOs, lawyers, doctors, academics, is never going to expose them.
Hare has dominated and manipulated the global landscape for research into dark personalities/human predators ever since he developed the PCL-R in the 1980s. He has gone as far as litigate against colleagues who tried to argue that it wasn’t an appropriate tool for higher functioning dark personalities!!

Professor Sam Vaknin @narcissismwithvaknin is a self-confessed narcissist who has milked the “narcissism market” through his books, lectures & podcasts.

Vaknin refers to narcissists like this:
“50 Shades of grief”
“Constant abuse”
“Constant belittling, & denigrating & degrading & shaming”
“Threatens & blackmails”
“Ruthlessness”
“Lack of empathy”

Look how he becomes a victim though when he is challenged/exposed.

6. Fake  (An Australian miniseries that demonstrates how human predators are able to hide their true identity and suck their victims back in when they start to become suspicious.)

Here are a few unusual red flags for narcissists, psychopaths….

1. Lengthy staring. Dark personalities/human predators do not experience discomfort in the same way as others because they don’t feel fear. They are therefore very comfortable with lengthy eye contact and often use staring as a positive influencing tactic. This could be eye staring or following you around a room. They also use lengthy staring as a means to intimidate, to make someone feel uncomfortable, to control.

2. Watching your hands as you speak. Human predators do not experience emotions as we do because of brain anomalies (other than a pathological anger response). They therefore often look at people’s hand movements as they are speaking to try and understand what their emotional vulnerabilities are. When we speak of subjects we are more invested in we generally move our hands more in discussion. Human predators are always interested in our vulnerabilities in order to leverage these to cause us pain or harm when they choose.

3. Smirking. Dark personalities smirk out of an arrogant sense of ‘I have fooled them all and I am amazing’. They also smirk when they hurt someone because they find it deeply satisfying. The smirk can sometimes be just a tiny upward movement on one side of the mouth.

4. Charity. Human predators often engage with charities as part of their facade of being a good person. If a media story about a charity contains information about a person in relation to the charity that is a big red flag. People who are genuinely philanthropic rarely include much information if any about themselves in relation to charities they support. Human predators on the other hand use charities to promote themselves.

5. Peering. Where a situation might be difficult for a human predator to understand, for example a situation which might elicit a lot of emotion in other people, they may squint and lean forward almost as if studying the situation to try and understand it.

6. Housework. Oddly, there seems to be a trend that housework is not something many human predators are willing to do. Their strong sense of entitlement probably precludes it. They may therefore use intimidating behaviour around housework as a means to ‘train’ others to do it.
