Listen @espn , would you tell whatever producer thought it was a good idea to picture and picture my game for like a minute at a time to show me a game I didn't choose to watch to get lost? It's 2023, I can stream what I want to see, I don't want to see it.
@IlhanMN@PeteButtigieg Accountability is great. But as a working class democrat, remind me what you and congress did when rail workers wanted to strike due to not having adequate staffing to keep the lines safe? You're not supporting the interests of the workers, that's for damn sure.
@SenSherrodBrown@EPA@OhioEPA@nscorp Hey senator. Remember when railway workers were wanting to strike to raise the alarm on unsafe conditions of our railways. Remind me what our congress, including you did about that?
@CarloColaiacovo Might be Anecdotal, but none of those are reasons I don't watch. I haven't had cable in my adult life, and even if I pay for a streaming service which is pricey, the one team I want to watch is blacked out. Netflix prices for streaming the team I want + playoffs and I'm in.
@_BobWeirsShorts @TheRickWilson And the hundreds of thousands of Americans incarcerated in America for the same minor crime? It's an even worse look. A foreign power locking someone up for their laws is a better look, it's out of our control and their laws we should respect. How do you justify it here?
@SmashCarm@GloriousBadGuy@ksorbs What you like isn't in discussion here. The point is the second amendment is very succinct. It only speaks to the right to create a citizen's militia. The second amendment, as written, doesn't give you the right to have a gun for any situation you feel threatened in.
@SmashCarm@GloriousBadGuy@ksorbs But critically the amendment also only speaks to militias. So citizens having the legal authority to create an army to defend themselves. It doesn't really speak to waving your guns around a Walmart or having unregulated firearms available to every school child.
@wyshynski There's clearly a line of egregious right? I'll allow a stream to start the video with a 10 sec ad, but the ones who have 3, 3 minute spots for manscape, two regular ad breaks that string it along is just offensively blatant. Your list is building to egregious in some ways, no?
@GeorgeTakei As an abstract discussion that is at the heart of this. As a blue in a sea of red in Ohio, do you think there is, or was a subset of moderate conservative that we've pushed to the extreme by chastising and denouncing them like murderers for mis-stepped words?
@fwong Touche! I wasn't trying to imply it's simple or that I'm a savant. Maybe just that the crash and burn until you succeed element of a new player learning mouse+keyboard portal is satisfying and part of gaming. I think it's valuable to wade into. Dark Soul's success proves it a bit
@fwong Really though I think our conversation should be what element of gaming gets them hooked? Interactive book with amazing story? Walking sim. Endorphin rush of finally nailing that jump and figuring out the gimmick? Portal. I'd say the latter is a more unique gaming quality.
@fwong A board game is a different experience to a tabletop pen and paper game, even though they're in the same medium? A walking simulator is a longwinded experience. Portal is a bite-sized puzzle. One requires less control mastery, the other makes you comfy for more controls later.
@TheNasher61 It would be brand new if they ever brought the damn thing to PC. Haven't had a console in a decade and as a hockey fan, miss having a game to play.
@0liviajulianna I don't disagree. But, is there a point at which tolerance get's absolutely murdered by intolerance? Or when lies overwhelm truth. the inaction of being on the high road is in serious danger of being eroded by the low road putting in work. At some point shouldn't you punch back?
@senrobportman I've become comfortable with the fox news bullshit machine and why it's successful. What I still can't ever pin down is if cogs in the machine like you are genuine idiots too, or if you're more like a snake oil salesman duping the masses as long as you get a kickback.
