Embarrassing behaviour @Tesco how is this getting ignored ? @NHSEngland

[Tohidul Islam MRPharmS 🇵🇸 @TohidMPharm]

Hello @Tesco Salisbury can you please explain what attempts were to recruit locum pharmacists and locums dispensers to cover Saturday afternoon? Did no one respond or did no one agree to your rate cap? I know pharmacists who are available to work on Saturday afternoon.

@smooth74m @the_pda @tortymoo @Tesco @ChemistDruggist @PharmacistCoop @TheGPhC Sorry to hear you had such a bad day. Why did you get told off by the store manager ?

[Responsible Pharmacist @ResponsiblePha2]

I just want to ask @Tesco if someone has no Tesco experience how do you book your first locum pharmacist shift? 1/2 @the_pda @ChemistDruggist @PharmacistCoop @TheGPhC

[Responsible Pharmacist @ResponsiblePha2]

@tortymoo @Tesco @the_pda @ChemistDruggist @PharmacistCoop @TheGPhC There is no shortage of pharmacists, there may be a shortage of pharmacists who agree to work under certain conditions…

[Responsible Pharmacist @ResponsiblePha2]

@jacky_bannerman @Tesco @the_pda @ChemistDruggist @PharmacistCoop @TheGPhC Appalling.

[Responsible Pharmacist @ResponsiblePha2]

@gimpel_israel @mimilyang Failing to decipher what is shaming is rather shameful

[Responsible Pharmacist @ResponsiblePha2]

Every shift comes with this highlighted message. So much for providing opportunities. They need to be experienced because they are left alone for so many hours in the morning and evening?? Is this safe? 2/2

@wellpharmacy @the_pda @ChemistDruggist @TheGPhC @PharmacistCoop @ThePharmacyJou1 Thank you for the response. OOH’s to me means acute patients, regardless of the items dispensed (insignificant imo) a pharmacist working alone is compromising patient safety. Thank you for the reassurance.

[Responsible Pharmacist @ResponsiblePha2]

Totally shocked with how Locums are treated now. @wellpharmacy happy to leave a pharmacist ALONE on a WEEKEND for 5hrs. I’m lost for words #protectyourreg @the_pda @ChemistDruggist @TheGPhC @PharmacistCoop @ThePharmacyJou1

@VocalPharmacist @TohidMPharm @thisislawton @TheGPhC @the_pda Unacceptable

[Responsible Pharmacist @ResponsiblePha2]

“Shortage” of pharmacist’s right?

[Tohidul Islam MRPharmS 🇵🇸 @TohidMPharm]

Just another example of how certain companies are closing branches and putting patients at risk.

@TheGPhC @the_pda @NHSEngland

[Responsible Pharmacist @ResponsiblePha2]

Serving, dispensing, checking, phone calls. Just imagine you get one CPCS 111 referral, you are doomed!!!! April fools right ??!

[Responsible Pharmacist @ResponsiblePha2]

@TohidMPharm @asda @the_pda Something needs to be done about this before all companies decide to expand the role of a pharmacist as the counter assistant, dispenser and pharmacist. Might as well become a delivery driver while we’re at it. Ridiculous, inconsiderate, begging for an error. #protectyourownreg

[Responsible Pharmacist @ResponsiblePha2]

I’ve never worked for Tesco for this reason. Self-checking is NOT safe. Keeping a considerable amount of gap before going back to re-check your own dispensing is not always feasible with the work load. Why can’t contractors simply employ dispensers? Every job bares its own role.

[Tohidul Islam MRPharmS 🇵🇸 @TohidMPharm]

Hello @asda I see your no longer even bothering to hide the fact that you want your pharmacists to self-check. Do you think it’s safe or in the interest of your patients when pharmacists are working in high pressure environment and also checking their own work?

@the_pda

[Responsible Pharmacist @ResponsiblePha2]

Agreed.
