It finally happened. For the first time in my writing career, I got accused of using Ai. The worst part, it wasn’t even for my books. It was a short story I posted on a different site for a horror story podcast. Someone reported it as generative Ai and the story got taken down. Luckily after a nice conversation with the mod team, it got cleared up and I was free to continue posting and my story got to stay up. Have i finally made it? Am I a real author now?

Things appear when they appear. Spools as we know them didn't really get going until the period of the Napoleonic Wars. Before that they were just handed out in "hanks" (coils), balls or skeins that could get easily tangled. This design would have prevented that.
