During a Senate hearing, Sen. Mike Lee questioned Puerto Rico Gov. @Jenniffer González-Colón about the current scandal surrounding her administration, which involves the resignation of Sebastián Negrón, the former secretary of the Department of Economic Development and Commerce, along with 10 other officials.
The resignations stem from allegations that the governor’s administration interfered with the department’s work. According to Negrón’s statement, the alleged interventions included reversing two summary suspensions he had issued after an investigation found improper interference in the agency’s procurement activities.
González-Colón stated that all allegations against her administration, including those involving her chief of staff, are false.
