@densaer Kinda reminds me of a dryer fire in a house that I ran last year. Couldn’t find the electrical panel for the life of me. Went outside to ask the owners. It was on the kitchen wall near the sink, but someone had built a kitchen cabinet over the panel, and filled the cabinet.

@densaer None. He clarified that his thermostat is mounted behind his TV, and he didn’t want to physically move the TV to take manual control of it. Not a safety issue. Just a lesson not to block access to your thermostat with large objects.

@densaer @schuback That explains the difference in styles, but not differences in compliance standards. I thought you asked why any random euro style wouldn’t pass NFPA. The NFPA standards don’t care re traditional vs euro style.

@densaer @schuback But no question that the euro/fighter pilot styles coming to the US are lighter (fewer neck injuries) and less likely to get hung up or smack the top of the SCBA when looking up.

@densaer @schuback US traditional style helmets have a lot of history and legacy in how and why they look as they do. Even the leather shield on the front is a tribute to original leather helmets. A lot of pride and tradition.
