@thefizzeo@TDekkersPhysio Great post. I work in both pp and along side a spinal consultant and in my experience mri provide a value explaination to de escalate anxiety when explained in context with clinical symptoms. But careful language and follow up appointments post mri help improve clinical outcomes
@GregLehman Positive reinforcement. They do these warm ups, they feel prepped and ready to compete. If they didnt feel ready they wouldnt do them. The problem is most people dont know what ready feels like and do them anyway without adaptation. They work but must be adapted to each runner
@AffideaIreland can you please provide a contact number for referring clinicians as all your numbers do not allow us to speak to a team member. Highly frustrating
@giovanni_ef@msk_health Results Very much dependent on type of exercise, and adaptation they are trying to create with the exercise. Along with the experience of the clinician at presribing the exercise loads and looking at the strategies in which each person produces force.
I donโt know about this kind of make-over, but with races off for now, it's a perfect time to rest & build strength into weaker, underworked muscles, for better overall health and fitness. Work with a good physio and trainer, mines @StepasidePhysio https://t.co/REXFweEthS
@DerekGriffin86 You know I feel so sorry for the coalface MSK practitioner on Twitter: we under-diagnose them we over diagnose, we scan too many them we donโt scan enough, we subgroup to improve treatment then we shouldnโt sub-group. We go round and round.
Ever wonder what areas of your body need to be stable and which one needs to be mobile. Inherently you need both but some joint prefer one over the other base on the joints function and range of motion.
