@Stephen27395898 @JimShannonMP Yes. There was anger in the British Mandate for Palestine until 1948 because the British govt had refused refuge to Jews trying to escape the Holocaust in Europe. The British govt blocked them from seeking safety in British Mandatory Palestine and paid the price for that!
