MMU expresses outrage Over Pork Products on Blinkit, Asks the Company to immediately remove them from their Stock to sell in Kashmir

Srinagar, August 06, 2026: Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU) Jammu & Kashmir expressed outrage and shock after screenshots shared by people brought to its notice that pork products are being listed for sale on the online delivery platform Blinkit in Kashmir.

MMU said that while it is generally know to all that pork sale or consumption is prohibited in Islam , and Muslims are very sensitive to this matter , how was it allowed to enter the market for sale ? This matter should be seriously investigated by the authorities and those involved warned .
The Majlis asked Blinkit to take immediately take the products off their shelves and seriously ensure that pork products are neither stocked, advertised nor sold in Kashmir. It said that businesses operating in the region have to respect religious and cultural sensitivities of the region and act responsibly.

All I did was upload this other one posted by BJP and asked AI to create a similar chart which leads to the opposite conclusion by choosing different data points. The point is to show how easy it is to mislead people with statistics.

By the way, mine still has more credible data for each point with verified sources unlike the BJP one. At least I made other AIs double check all the data :)

August 5 is a painful reminder of the day when a decision was imposed upon J&K by the Government of India, reneging on its own constitutional commitments made to the people of Jammu & Kashmir and unilaterally altering its structure and status, further disempowering a people awaiting conflict resolution.

This multi-pronged assault on the identity, character and rights of the people of J&K has left yet another deep wound on our body politic. Yet, the courage and resilience of the people of this land in safeguarding it and standing up for their rights has always been exemplary.

We can only hope that a day will come when the Government of India will honour the spirit of Insaniyat and Jamhooriyat, and engage with the people of J&K with Justice,sincerity and respect.

August 5, 2019, will forever remain one of the darkest days in the political history of J&K & Ladakh, as it was not merely the day Article 370 & 35A were abrogated, but the day when entire people were told that their voice, consent, & rights no longer mattered. For my family, August 5 is also the day my father, MP @errashid11 was separated from us & sent to Tihar Jail. His imprisonment is part of a larger story that includes hundreds of political detentions, prolonged incarcerations, & the silencing of those who dared to speak for the political aspirations of J&K. The wounds of August 5 won't heal unless our identity is restored to us.

History will remember not only those who planned & executed these decisions, but also those within J&K who stood with the BJP while the constitutional & political identity of J&K was dismantled. No political alliance can erase the role played by those who became partners in this chapter, shifted demand from 370 to statehood, paved the way for the BJP to enter Kashmir, & became ministers in their government. It will remember every political prisoner who endured years behind bars without abandoning their convictions. It will remember those who refused to trade dignity for silence. We remain committed to a peaceful and democratic path for the restoration of Articles 370 and 35A, and for every Kashmir issue.

Whether we stand with millions or stand alone, our path will not change. Pressure will not make us surrender. Prison will not make us compromise. Propaganda will not make us forget. We owe it to our people.

As my father said in Parliament, "Hum 370 wapas laayenge, sood samait."
