Adulting has humbled me a lot. I finally understand why so many adults stop posting on social media or even deactivate their accounts. Life feels so much more peaceful when everything isn’t on display. 🥹🤎

The Curse of Overthinking
The more intelligent you are, the more likely you are to consider what can go wrong before you take action. Ironically, this is causing more things to go wrong in your life.
That person you know who seems to be effortlessly successful in their career? The one who took a risk and started that company that's now thriving? Or your colleague who always speaks up confidently in meetings while you hold back your ideas?
They probably aren't any more intelligent or capable than you. In fact, you likely have much—if not more—raw intelligence, aptitude, and ability, but they seem to beat you to the punch. What are they doing—or not doing—differently from you?
They aren't smart enough to doubt themselves. Or, at the very least, they're smart enough to realize that nothing gets done while the plans only exist in their mind, so they take action.
Overthinking leads to analysis paralysis. It makes you procrastinate on projects, hold back ideas, and talk yourself out of opportunities. You operate from a fear of failure rather than faith in yourself.
Intelligence is an asset; overthinking can become a curse. As Henry Ford said: "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right."
The limitations we create in our own heads do more damage than a lack of skill or talent.
