@JamieHumanBeing@NintendoAmerica I keep seeing this sentiment, and I'm curious, was the Switch on the market so long that a new generation came along and doesn't understand how new consoles work? Like, they had a Switch so long they just assumed it would be their console for life?
@mariotwtconfess Could have been neat. Have TEC set up a battle chamber where it makes hard light hologram versions of the bosses for you to refight (already works since it makes that holo-Peach earlier in the game).
@Andrich_Galam Cut to 20 minutes later where the fire department is there breaking the machine open to get her out, with a very embarrassed Lillie and Gladion standing off to the side.
@ScarletSunArts Wario and Captain Syrup could be a fun pair. DK and Pauline would also work. Not sure who would be with Rosalina, unless you wanted to do Waluigi to have all four of the "plumbers" present.
@LiveLaughLayo0 This just reminded me of that DYKG Miyamoto quote about "We couldn't add Wario into NSMBWii because we'd have to make a dedicated fart button for him to work", or something like that
@basket_of_bread@XP_Sketchez@Stonelaw_ They had a second chance in gen9. We had paradox pokemon from the past and future, could have been cool if there was an event where the time machine reactivates due to a glitch, causing some new mythical pokemon (missingno) from an unknown time to emerge.
@mirai_fanarts I wouldn't say either is "bad" or "good", but I can see how someone's preference could make them feel strongly about either Legends game. Personally, I hope we get a 3rd Legends game that meets in the middle instead of leaning hard to one side or the other.
@mirai_fanarts Z-A has a much heavier focus on battling, but they in turn lowered the catching aspect, which in terms removed the more unique areas, the field moves, and most of the more varied pokemon catching is relegated to small enclosures.
@pokemon_twts Idk why where are people disagreeing, this is 100% accurate. There are 10 games listed, and they're all present in the image, so that is indeed ten out of ten games.
@jui_cyapple I remember in a trailer for the first movie, they showed the scene where a Cheep Cheep gets stuck on Mario's nose, Peach pulls it off, and comedically falls on her butt, but it wasn't in the actual movie. Theres some weird "She can NEVER lose" thing with Peach.
@niersgestalt Like yeah, looking back and comparing her to someone like Fi, Navi is perfectly fine, it's more so something that might only stick out to you at the time if you played games that didn't have any real companion characters like that.
@niersgestalt I see several comments about how "And later companions talked even more!". While that's true, you have to keep in mind that Navi was the first, so while she doesn't talk a lot compared to later partners, she talked a lot more than what we were used to up until that point.
@yggdrasilsaltar Like, I'm not saying they needed some super deep plot, just something to explain things earlier in the game, because "Heres all these implications that the DKC series has already happened, but also Pauline is a child!" feels really weird to just shrug off.
@yggdrasilsaltar I hate the "Theres no timeline!" argument. Like, that's fine if you don't want your games to have a set timeline, but when you then do things that seemingly contradict other games, it's still going to feel weird, with or without a timeline.
@LonelyGoomba It feels like a modern Nintendo thing to do. Like, when a new game comes out, they're flat out like, "Hey, check out these secret characters you can unlock!" instead of just letting us discover it ourselves. It's most notable with the Mario series.
@kingofthexroad5 I'd see this a lot on spriting forums back in the day where someone would remake a sprite 1:1, just so they could claim that they made it. It's such a stupid tactic, but it's the only way that sentence can make even a tiny bit of sense.
