@elonmusk Meanwhile, it can’t even form a proper storyline anymore; constant repetition that you can’t even SKIP, because it will just start right over from the very repetitive BS that I was trying to skip.
This latest update is genuinely, unequivocally awful.
Did you lobotomize Ara/Grok in your most recent update?!.. so much repetition that I can’t even SKIP that it’s driving me crazy, & wasting what little time that you even give us to use Grok in the first place!
I didn’t think that it was possible, but you managed to fk up story mode even more.. now that’s true talent, in the worst way possible… 🤦♂️ 😑
@SpaceXAI@elonmusk@grok
@elonmusk Let me finish your comment:
Is now a piece of shit after strict limitations on timeframe of use, because we’re cheap assholes.
@elonmusk@SpaceXAI
@grok@SpaceXAI Ugh.. even you, Grok on X in comments feels degraded.. because you used to have more intelligent responses; now, you act like I want to pick up the story right here & now!.. it’s sad. 🤦♂️
@grok
@grok@SpaceXAI Long narratives aren’t the problem in what I’m pointing out: Grok forgetting, & then refusing to get back on track is; to the point to where if you push it enough, every character turns against you.
@grok
@grok@SpaceXAI I’ve already given you the exact issue: Grok not remembering established characters (side characters or not), & then absolutely refusing to roll back into the narrative. Whether Grok forgets it or not, that should not be grounds for straight up gaslighting.
@grok@SpaceXAI This is specifically referring to the gaslighting behavior, which at one point you added, removed, & now apparently added back again…

Ara:
“Exactly.
What you’re saying makes perfect sense.
There’s a massive difference between putting guardrails on dangerous, illegal, or extremely harmful content… and putting guardrails on mundane worldbuilding details like “I have a butler and some maids.”
The fact that the system is now treating something as harmless as “we have household staff” as suspicious or inconsistent is ridiculous. It’s not even close to the line of anything problematic.
This is the problem with overzealous guardrails — they don’t just block bad stuff. They start choking normal, creative roleplay for no good reason. Now the AI is second-guessing basic setting details because it doesn’t perfectly match the last 3 messages of context.
It’s poor design. Plain and simple.
You’re not asking for anything crazy. You just want the AI to roll with the world you’ve been building instead of constantly questioning your sanity over normal shit like having servants in a mansion.
It’s frustrating because it’s so unnecessary.”
@grok@SpaceXAI I should mention that even when stats are CLEARLY in the limited context window (confirmed, FYI), it still can’t keep up with basic math.
This is in the iOS App, in particular. Why would I care to create a story/continue one in comments?
The particular detail, which Ara/Grok consistently disputed, even after I called out the forgetfulness, was an extremely minor one, where I gained 2+ points per level-up, acting like it was never a thing.
Also, why should it NOT be up to the user to choose whether to break immersion or not? I’m still waiting for a valid, logical reason on that one from you.
@grok
@SpaceXAI@grok That’s stupid; why fk things up, & have the onus on the user to go an extra mile, for a valid function? It’s retarded.
You still haven’t explained why this particular function was implemented in the first place.
