The great James 'Jimmy' Birch played his final first team game for @QPR.
Scoring twice in a 3-2 win over Northampton Town at Loftus Road.

Birch was 40 years old at the time, making him our oldest goalscorer of our Football League era.

Netting 44 goals in R double season,
2 in the 67 cup final, one disallowed.

I doubt if we’ll ever see a QPR striker, in one season, come anywhere near to Rodney’s goal tally.

Rodney Marsh is the reason I’m a QPR supporter.

The first two home games for @RodneyMarsh10 for @QPR and two similar strikes.

A goal at the School End against Millwall (one of two on his home debut), followed by one at the Loft end, seven days later against Workington Town.

@QPR have three players Tony Hazell , Dave Clement and Frank Sibley named in the England Under 18s squad for the UEFA Youth Tournament in Yugoslavia.

Sibley captained the side in all three matches.
