It's been a while...
Just run these off for my boys to give out as "pixie dust" whilst at Galaxy's Edge. Had to do Republic and Imperial - after all, you never know who you'll run into!
What's better than one Robocop helmet?
THAT'S RIGHT! A OCP FORD TAURUS!
I don't have one of those though, so a newly made Robocop 1 style helmet to go with the Robocop 2 styled will have to do.
Phenomenal pick up today from @TheRetroHunter! As always an absolute treasure trove of goodies priced at a level that makes every purchase an absolute bargain!
Grabbed TWO StarMax, a Shadowbat (in a bag still!) A Starbase and a Starhawk!
Now to find some Parasites!
My little section of Tron is gathering pace!
One of my favourite films, with an amazing sequel and animated series - can't wait to see what Tron:Ares brings!
(I really need to print some Light Cycles and a Recognizer to add to this shelf!)
My 3D printed Enterprise and Reliant - Such a fun print on the Bambu utilising the amazing models of Martin Taichl on Maker World.
I think a BoP or Excelsior next!
Another fantastic print on the Bambu P1S AMS - credit to the aptly named Mr. Scott of Maker World for the model.
Always had a soft spot for the Type 2 - I may even attempt the dust buster earlier style too.
The AMS really does up the 3D printing game. Effortless printing from the Bambu - just select and go.
16 Hours is a lengthy print, but a superb test of what it can do.
What's your favourite AMS show off piece?
Credit to HX8 for the excellent Starscream model!
This plain aluminum saber always looked great, but I wanted to add my own touch.
Went for a heat-distressed look via a mix of blue, silver and gold paint. Still a simple saber, but that paint and the jubilee clips give it a personal flair.
Dead or Alive, you're coming with me.
RoboCop PLA 3D printed helmet now finished. Bit of experimentation with this one, with acetone washes and different fillers. All lessons learned.
Next up, finish up the Auto-9 & wall mount them!
3D printed in PLA and experimenting with acetone/filler washes.
Basically, DAP is too brittle, Isopon is too hard and Wood Filler doesn't work at all.
The final product is far from perfect, but happy given it's cost me time and Β£10 of filament.
Murphy's feeling rather blue today.
Paint is cured, when there's a break in the weather we'll clear coat for that shine and build a visor.
Likely that I'll print another and do it in a more RoboCop 1 scheme!
Help!
Opinions needed. I'm looking for a suitable colour mix for my RoboCop Build.
Below are three paint mixes, which one do you think matches RoboCop's finish the closest?
The Dark Siren on paper, looked perfect but I feel it's much too dark.
