Just witnessed two elderly ladies come in, one with a £1000 iphone, asking me for help organising her mail and homescreen, and her friend who had an entry level samsung.

By the time they left, the lady with the iphone was repeatedly saying that she found the samsung much easier

So i've started working part time at a tech shop - and I get a lot of elderly customers coming in asking for help with their phones. iOS users have a lot more problems than android users - confusing navigation, things randomly opening... iphones are actually less intuitive to use

So fascinating because for years the advice was to get an iphone for your elderly relatives because they're simpler.

that was maybe true for the home button iphones but ios has become so convoluted over the years and there are so many weird confusing UI patterns now.

@VOXImobile your login page has been broken for MONTHS if not years. Don't tell me to clear cookies, try incognito or a different browser. Every single request fails, this is a backend issue. At this rate I will personally come fix your API for free because I want to log in!!!

This thread sums up what I feel all the time as a 20 something. The lifestyle a lot of us grew up with is unattainable on a similar salary. Especially in "first world" countries.

I am 52. My lifestyle improved dramatically from my late-20s, and kept improving into my mid-40s. That's because I grew up in the '80s and early '90s, when there was little to spend on. You bought lamps from Cottage Industries Emporium, jeans from F.u's and kurtas from Fabindia.
