@bbctms This has to be a backwards position, nothing is ever made more inclusive by banning one thing in favour of another. Look at the annual schedule and find a way of including the historical and the new.
@bhamcathedral I can personally testify to what an amazing team of Vergers we have in Birmingham, they are generous, compassionate, efficient and talented people. Anyone looking to join them will be welcomed and embraced.
We are sorry to say that @letsfeedbrum won't be in Cathedral Square today due to a shortage of volunteers. If you think you might be able to help, please do head to their page for information on how to sign up for this wonderfully charitable organisation!
Orlagh was so excited to see one of the cheeky pandas wearing ear defenders like her when the noise was too much. Thank you @cheekypandasHQ for being so inclusive!
@cofebirmingham Although I agree with the essence of the quote, I’m saddened that it enforces the idea that blindness is linked to negativity. Read anything by John Hull to see the powerful and positive influence of those living with blindness.
Very reflective and special Ash Wednesday service this evening with our wonderful congregation. But how did I manage to get ashes on my Alb, stole, prayer book, service book and hymn book!!!!
I spent a wonderful morning with The Rev’d Canon Becky Stephens and some of the incredible congregation atSt Peter’s, Maney exploring how to make the church even more inclusive and accessible.
@zoeheming@synod It’s wonderful to have you there, I’m sure you will sort the logistics, and then highlight other access and inclusion issues. We are blessed by your ministry 🙏
