@mmiofsky These actions put clergy in rural, conservative spaces in a tough spot. While many are celebrating, many are also trying to sure up our already struggling congregations. I can appreciate the excitement of the moment, but this is why rural and small church representation matters.

@mmiofsky How then do we respond to the church’s that stayed because “nothing has changed,”? Not saying 2553 wasn’t riddled with problems, but this will be difficult to sale in traditional (particularly rural) spaces that are already distrustful of the general church.
