Interesting that the consensus is that it was a penalty, and the foul on Messi by Szczesny was not.
Both given for fouls after the shot was taken
Here, the keeper is simply standing in line of the ball.
There the keeper was moving towards the ball, missed it and punched Messi.
That penalty was more of a foul on Livakovic, than it was a penalty.
Keeper simply standing in front of the original line of the ball with his feet apart.
Didn't move towards Alvarez.
What a good game. England unfortunate to be behind. Managed Mbappe and Dembele very well.
Not much happening on their left flank though, might want to replace Foden with Grealish at '55 to get some build up play going on that side too.
Physicality is lost a bit when watching games on tv, but it is coming through well in this game.
The zoomed camera angles also help with that, although not great angles in general
POR definitely haven't done enough to equalize. 45 minutes of playing easy passes to the flank to cross like a small team.
Bruno, Bernardo & Felix on the pitch and barely 5 passes into the 10 position all half.
Meanwhile Amrabat has dominated that space for Morocco defensively.
Portugal are playing wingers who aren't tracking back much, while also failing to the one-on-one dribbling and goal threat. Moroccan wingers outplaying them.
