@DurhamPublicSch If they are making this big of a change and no longer honoring years of service worked outside DPS or the state, then it needs to be publicly presented and allow public comment. Why would you not offer high pay grades for work in the private sector doing the same job?

The consultants suggested only counting "state service" as qualified experience, which is insane, but @DurhamPublicSch decided to move forward with honoring years of service the same way they always have. This isn't a mistake, it is an abrupt shift in policy.
