@QofAnfield I think Houllier did enormous damage to the club. Okay, he won a couple of trophies but as a man manager and judge of players he was hopeless. Look at all the disastrous signings he was responsible for. Meijer, Dundee, Diomede, Heskey, Baros, Kewell, Diouf and many more.
@KeithMillsD7 CAB is her legacy so her death was not in vain but it was partly her own recklessness that got her killed. You just can't trust dangerous criminals such as the late and unlamented John Traynor.
@KingsPalace72 Who?? Oh, Andy Carroll. He did manage to make fifty-eight appearances in two seasons, scoring eleven goals, so you can't really categorise him as "hardly played". What a waste of thirty million.
@brianocorcaigh@nwl88444048 I think there are guidelines laid down in the statute books for each category of crime that judges have to abide by. These would include a minimum and maximum term of imprisonment. Mc Govern was convicted of two separate crimes today, and must serve consecutive sentences.
@JimmyMu35984013 Inconsistent. Could be brilliant, then awful. Lacked the pace and mobility required for a top centre back. Would have been better in a defensive midfield role, shielding the back four.
@parchpea@JimmyMu35984013 What doesn't happen now ? Bad signings ? You only have to look at some of Liverpool' most recent recruits to see that these checks and balances are meaningless. The player has to fit the system. Wirtz did not fit in the Slot system. I hope he will in the Iraola one.
@NUFC A great little player who maximised every ounce of his talent and, seemingly, a good and decent human being. It's a tragedy that he's been stricken with this cruel illness at a relatively young age.
