@NicHulscher @grok can you verify this

[Jacob A Holmes @RevJakeHolmes]

"There are three traps of Satan that steal joy and peace: Regretting about the past, fear for the future, and ingratitude for the present." -St Anthony the Great.

"Trust the past to the mercy of God, the present to His love, and the future to His providence."- St Augustine

@megbasham @TimTebow They’re specifically speaking of sexual abuse. Be honest.

[Josh Howerton @howertonjosh]

This sentence from Sinclair Ferguson changed my life:

“The Father did not require the death of Christ to persuade Him to love us. Christ died because the Father loves us.”

Restated:
God does not love us because Jesus died for us.
Jesus died for us because God loves us.

[Jacob A Holmes @RevJakeHolmes]

@howertonjosh Fine. I’ll say it. Jesus Among Other Gods by Ravi Zacharias.

[Jacob A Holmes @RevJakeHolmes]

@Eric_Conn Hillsong; "The passion of our Saviour
The mercy of our God
The cross that leaves no question
Of the measure of His love
(Come on let's sing together)
Our chains are gone
Our debt is paid
The cross has overthrown the grave
For Jesus' blood that sets us free
Means death to death"

[Jacob A Holmes @RevJakeHolmes]

@Eric_Conn Hillsong: "I cast my mind to Calvary
Where Jesus bled and died for me
I see His wounds, His hands, His feet
My Saviour on that cursed tree
His body bound and drenched in tears
They laid Him down in Joseph's tomb
The entrance sealed by heavy stone
Messiah still and all alone"

[Jacob A Holmes @RevJakeHolmes]

@Eric_Conn Hillsong: "Grace, what have You done?
Murdered for me on the cross
Accused in absence of wrong
My sin washed away in Your blood
Too much to make sense of it all
I know that Your love breaks my fall
The scandal of grace
You died in my place
So my soul will live"

[Jacob A Holmes @RevJakeHolmes]

@Eric_Conn Hillsong: "Man of sorrows, Lamb of God
By His own betrayed
The sin of man and wrath of God
Has been on Jesus laid
Silent as He stood accused
Beaten, mocked, and scorned
Bowing to the Father's will
He took a crown of thorns
Oh, that rugged cross my salvation.."

[Jacob A Holmes @RevJakeHolmes]

@Eric_Conn This is so stupid. Hillsong has incredibly good and theologically sound songs with over 50 published songs about the cross, blood, and resurrection of Christ. Research a bit bro. Here’s just a few…

[Jacob A Holmes @RevJakeHolmes]

@synodofdork Both/and bro.

[Oliver Burdick @oliverburdick]

Noah’s ark is a true story,

The Exodus is a true story,

The Book of Jonah is a true story,

The resurrection of Jesus is a true story.

[Jacob A Holmes @RevJakeHolmes]

It would be a shame if people came into our churches and lives looking for Jesus and only get us.

[Jacob A Holmes @RevJakeHolmes]

@5solas It's funny that the most vile, angry, vitriolic, calloused responses to normal dialogue I've had are from Calvinists. Very emotionally charged.

[Jacob A Holmes @RevJakeHolmes]

@5solas I usually just read 1 John 2:2.

1. I worked in the NFL, it’s a terrible culture.. Harrison Butker is the last person who should be losing his job

2. Harrison Butker is fighting for women and the left is too brainwashed to know what’s good for them. Being a submissive wife who honors God, and raises children IS an honor and a privilege.

3. Even though I am proud of my career nothing is more meaningful than being a mother.. not even close

4. God’s order is best, He is intentional in His design

[Rachel Campos-Duffy @RCamposDuffy]

Outrageous. I heard the entire speech by ⁦#HarrisonButker. It was 100% #Catholic in its world view.
Is #NFL saying they have no place for Catholics in their organization?
Why does tolerance only go one way in America? So sick of it. https://t.co/NXRgTTBEed

[TONY™ @TONYxTWO]

I stand with Harrison Butker 🇺🇸

Do you?
