The greatest threat to Christianity is not secularity. It is certainty. When you are so convinced that you are right, then you will create all types of enemies and cut yourself off from all the ways God is active in another person's experience.
The Episcopal Church opposes laws governing how people care for themselves (since the late 1960’s), including laws against abortion. As a priest, I lament abortion and the loss of life. I lament more the losses resulting from making health decisions into legal ones.

@revmirandah In the midst of the mess, God is there and God is able to work in and through the mess to do more than we can ask or imagine. Christ came into the mess, died in the mess, rose from the mess. Out of chaos can come joy.
