Trump is a malignant narcissist and a 7th grader still trying to get his father to love and notice him. He is mentally ill. I pray for him and agree with him in many ways but he is broken. It is not his crassness that is the problem, it is narcissism. He makes decisions out of expediency and personal gain. He is a modern day King Saul. Jesus’ words are appropriate here- ‘What does it gain a man (or a party or a people) to gain the whole world (and all their political gains and desires) and lost their souls. THAT is where we are. Yes, God used broken people. Lord knows that is true but the starting and ending point should always be Jesus not the ‘cult like’ leader whose flaws affect and dominate so much.
