Standing before the camera, Sheikh Muhammad Saleh Al-Marshid representing the so-called "Syrian tribes" and the "Akidat Qahtani tribe," pledged allegiance to Saudi King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He declared "unconditional support for Saudi Arabia in its confrontation with the Houthi forces."

This is not a statement from the tribes. It is an act of betrayal.

💥 To whom are they pledging their allegiance?

What kind of regime is this Saudi Arabia to which they have pledged their loyalty?

For twelve years, Saudi Arabia has been bombing Yemen. It has struck hospitals, schools, marketplaces, weddings, funerals, and water treatment plants. It has imposed a blockade that has left millions to starve. It has killed hundreds of thousands of Yemenis. It has reduced Yemen to ruins and then labeled this "deterrence."

Saudi Arabia has purchased Israeli spyware to track and suppress its own dissidents. It has signed arms development agreements with Israel and opened its airspace to Israeli aircraft. Its F-15 fighter jets are equipped with Israeli-made combat helmets supplied because the United States refused to provide them. It coordinates its air defense with CENTCOM, the very entity that simultaneously arms Israel.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered the dismemberment of journalist Jamal Khashoggi using a bone saw. He imprisoned hundreds of Saudi princes and businessmen at the Ritz-Carlton, subjecting them to torture and extorting $107 billion from them funds he then used to pay for American weaponry. A sheikh of a Syrian tribe has pledged allegiance to a certain individual, declaring his "absolute support" for Saudi Arabia in its conflict against Yemen.

This is not support; it is submission. This is not tribal honor, it is tribal disgrace.

🎯 Vultures and Monsters: Whose Appetite Is Greater?

You are right. Vultures feed only on the dead. They circle above a corpse, waiting for death to occur, before swooping down to feast. They do not create corpses; they do not kill the living. They consume only what is already dead.

But these "tribal leaders"? They are not vultures they are hyenas. They do not wait for death; they actively deliver the living to it. They drag the tribes of a nation, a nation currently being swallowed up by Israel into a war that is not their own; a war that serves the interests of Riyadh, Washington, and Tel Aviv.

Syria’s Daraa province has fallen under Israeli occupation. Israel has established military outposts in southern Syria. Israeli tanks have advanced to within 20 kilometers of Damascus. Israeli aircraft have struck Syrian arms depots in over 1,000 separate air raids. The Syrian Golan Heights have been annexed, a move Trump labeled as "Israeli sovereignty."

Yet, this Syrian tribal sheikh says nothing about Daraa. He says nothing about the Golan. He says nothing about Israel’s annexation of southern Syria. Instead, he pledges his loyalty to the Saudi royal family to fight against the people of Yemen.

While his country is being dismembered by Israel, he offers his allegiance to the Saudi monarchy. While his land is being annexed, he vows his support to another American client state.

This is not tribal honor, it is the auctioning off of a tribe.

⚔️ Who Is the True Enemy of the Syrian Tribes?

For the tribes of Syria from the Akidat to the Shammar, from Deir ez-Zor to Al-Hasakah, from As-Suwayda to the Damascus countryside the true enemy is:

◾Israel, which is currently annexing southern Syria. · The United States occupies Syria’s oil fields and controls its food supply.
◾ Turkiye maintains a military presence in northern Syria.
◾The Julani regime is sending Syrian soldiers to Yemen to serve as cannon fodder in a war waged by Saudi Arabia and Israel.
◾ Saudi Arabia is buying off Syrian tribal leaders, enlisting them to fight on behalf of Riyadh.

Yemen is not Syria’s enemy; it is a mirror of Syria.

Yemen has been under Saudi bombardment for twelve years; Syria has been bombed by Israel. Yemen faces a U.S. blockade; Syria is subjected to U.S. sanctions. Yemenis are killed by the Saudis; Syrians are killed by the Israelis.

Yemenis are Arabs, and so are Syrians. The children of Yemen and the children of Syria share the same blood, endure the same nightmares, and lie buried beneath the same ruins.

Yet, this Syrian tribal sheikh aligning himself with Saudi Arabia treats the Yemeni people as enemies.

📡 Who is he, and whom does he represent?

Sheikh Mohammed Saleh al-Marshid represents the "Aqidat Qahtani" tribe an Arab tribe in eastern Syria, primarily located in the provinces of Deir ez-Zor and al-Hasakah. Throughout the Syrian Civil War, various branches of the Aqidat tribe have maintained complex, shifting relationships with both the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the regime. In Deir ez-Zor, factions of the Aqidat tribe have fought against ISIS, collaborated with the regime, and at times joined the opposition.

But this sheikh is not speaking from Deir ez-Zor; he is speaking from Saudi Arabia. He represents a version of "Syrian tribes" purchased by the Saudis, a "tribal leader" handpicked in a Riyadh boardroom, a puppet who has been paid, filmed, and featured across Saudi media. He represents Saudi Arabia, not the tribes of Syria.

🔻 Conclusion: This is a disgrace to the tribe, not an honor.

In Arab tradition, tribal honor is the highest value. The primary duty of a tribal sheikh is to protect his people, his land, and his dignity. He has no right to send the youth of his tribe to die for foreign interests, all for the sake of money from a foreign patron.

Saudi Arabia is not protecting Syria; it is exploiting Syria.

Saudi Arabia has failed to achieve victory in Yemen in fact, it has been defeated. Its airports have been shut down, its gas facilities bombed, its mercenaries are fleeing, and its officers have been struck by missiles while inside a palace in Aden. Its "Vision 2030" is collapsing.

Now, it turns to the tribes of Syria, begging them to send their young men to die in Yemen and a Syrian tribal sheikh has agreed.

This is not loyalty; it is a transaction.

Long live Yemen. Long live the Syrian resistance that refuses to be sold. Long live the Axis of Resistance.
