“For I am NOT ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the POWER of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes…” Romans 1:16

I think saying happy birthday at the beginning of the day in a text would have meant so much. 74 is getting on in years. How much longer will you have her so that you can connect? But, you can make it better. Tell her you can see how she was hurt. Ask if you can talk with her about what she was feeling. And if you need her to better understand and respect you, tactfully share that. Relationships need so much more nurture than we often give.
@NiallHarbison Hope is such a beautiful thing. Faith in healing and love are such beautiful things. I so appreciate seeing stories like this! Thank you, Niall.
What the World Cup has shown us so far: Propaganda has worked immensely.
Americans are taught that our country is nothing special.
Europeans are taught that America is a horrible country.
Europeans visiting are reminding us that none of it is true.
@saniyafatma1278 I think it’s absolutely beautiful and classic. And the fact that you cherish the story of the dress says some admirable things about you. Stay true to your own heart while thanking your friends for their input.
@MMcLaughlinsong So sorry for your mom and you/family going through this but so glad to hear she was able to be helped by surgery and that she is recovering.
I am so sorry to read this - that your beloved dad died. And you already have had so much loss and trauma. It is true, as you say, that all too soon, “the world,” that seemed so attentive in the immediate wake of the loss, will move on. But you will still be processing your grief and will be triggered by random things to feel it all over again and again. But you said it rightly, you have family here to live for, especially your precious child. I pray that you have a few safe people who will continue to walk with you and allow you to express your true feelings. God bless you.
If you have made the choice to follow Jesus, “actively reject feelings of guilt, shame or unworthiness. It is a proactive, practical, daily choice to take possession of the forgiveness that Jesus has made possible for you.” - from The Bible in One Year, Alpha course
I’m looking forward to being part of America Reads the Bible, a week-long event where the entire Bible will be read aloud in honor of our nation’s 250th anniversary! I’ll be reading Luke 10, including the parable of the Good Samaritan—a passage that inspired the name and mission of @SamaritansPurse. You can attend the event in Washington D.C. at @museumofBible, or join online. Visit https://t.co/Au9qFWSPYn for more information. @AmericaRTBible
