Update: a day later (October 21) my passport was shipped and I was provided an Australia Post tracking number. That's 15 days or about 2 weeks after I applied.

Re Australian passport renewal wait times: I submitted my app on Oct 6, status online was 'received'. Just checked today and the status is now 'under assessment'. May be different for first-time apps. Tags: Australia Aus waited waiting weeks months how long time renew

I hope the injured baby duck near the Abbotsford ferry wharf (Sydney) yesterday was picked up and taken care of. I called a local vet who informed me someone had already called and they directed them to call WIRES NSW wildlife rescue service

@katie_fenn Yeah he was trying to do the switch before the DRS detection so then he would have DRS. Sneaky. I think then he jolted the throttle and backed off again; that’s as much as a brake test in F1 with a guy very close where reactions are so sensitive
