Day 2 in New Year at vet. Mayor Tuxie Bear getting the full 9 yards🙄❤️

Elden (2nd pic) was my second baby I rescued when moved to GA. Well 13 years later here he is today. I took him to this vet practice 13 years ago in a different location after rescue. They fell in love with him and kept him as the office cat. 2020 the practice moved to it’s current location the exact land Elden was born on and rescued by me. I was hoping today he would put in a good meow for me for a rescue discount no such luck😭. Mayor Tuxie Bear has lost 2lb since May. He has a stomatitis flare up common with FIV+ babies, and one of his teeth fell out during the exam. He had full bloodwork (waiting on results), urine analysis/fecal. They will not see any cats without rabies vaccine 😡. Yesterday Leo had his monthly Oncology visit, and full diagnostics again Feb 2. Not even 1 week of 2026 and $908.59 for Mon/Tues. Willow has her appointment next Monday… Please help by retweeting cash match below 😭❤️🙏

Just like clockwork EVERY JANUARY I get hit with devastating news. There is no Happy New Year. Mayor Tuxie Bear’s results came in today. In addition to a stomatitis flare up/inflammation, he is now in stage 2 kidney disease. It is suspected he has heart disease which limits my ability to begin fluid/supportive therapy to make him comfortable. Potentially FIP. Heart disease leads to fluid build up in the heart, yet, kidney’s need to be kept hydrated. He was owner abandoned left like trash on the streets. He found his way to my porch, and fell in love with Senior Grey Grey and then Snoopy when he found his way to my porch. Their bonds were like no other. He lost Grey Grey in 2022 to FIV. He lost Snoopy in 2023 to cancer…. I am reaching out for a free retweet in case someone is in a position to donate. He needs to have an ECHO done to determine heart disease. However, this vet only has an opening Feb 27 and no I can’t wait that long depriving him of supportive care for kidney disease. So, I have to get him in somewhere else. I also now have to purchase prescription Hills Kidney food when I am already struggling with Lucky’s prescription food costs.

He is a different cat. I don’t even recognize him💔. The tears have flowed all day. I haven’t been able to get him in anywhere for an Echocardiogram so I know how to proceed with kidney disease, but he is shut down. Thank you to the kind soul for $10 donation today toward his care❤️🫂🙏

My heartfelt thanks to everyone who has retweeted to help raise funds for Mayor Tuxie Bear, and to those who have been able to donate🫂❤️🙏. I am just so deeply grateful for you all. Jet hasn’t left his side. She loves him deeply and knows something is wrong. After calling 15 places between yesterday and today, the earliest I can get an Echocardiogram is January 22😭No one does it in house and Cardiologist everywhere only come once a month. He will also need an abdominal ultrasound I am working on. Thank you for continuing to share💔🫂❤️🙏
